08.01.2022 Congratulations to those year 5 & 6 students who competed in the Japanese Speaking Contest this afternoon at McIlwraith State School. Usually this would be a Bundaberg competition, however it was cancelled due to COVID-19. The decision was made to hold a local competition open to all local schools. Students from Wallaville and McIlwraith spoke and were judged on their pronunciation, fluency, intonation and rhythm. Thank you so much to Bethany Barnes who judged the competition. Congratulations to Joseph Hill who won the Year 6 division and Silvana Silvestro who won the Year 5 division. Excellent speaking from all competitors. Congratulations all round.
