We are currently putting together the teams from our record number of junior individual player EOI. ... We have a massive day tomorrow for our junior comp double header and we need all families to continue to follow our COVID safe rules.... No spectators!! 1 parent/Carer per player!! Check in via the QR code. Arrive... play the 2 games... leave Do not mingle. We do not want to exceed the 500 limit! If you are approached by one of our Committee/volunteers, please listen to their instructions and follow them. It’s going to be very hot so please make sure your child has enough water for 2 games.. pack 2 water bottles. 11.01.2022 Wallsend Touch Association would like to send a very special thank you and appreciation post to Tony Bradley, Nicole Bradley and Scott Oliver for the contributions they have made to our club and wish them all the very best on their next adventures. The many long hours they dedicated to the growth of Wallsend Touch for many years is immeasurable! Nicole is a one of our amazing Life Members, she is a long time representative player, selector, and has been part of our executiv...e committee in several roles for many years. She took on our Monday night competition several years ago and it has grown from strength to strength reaching capacity! We can not thank you enough and I’m sure the Monday night teams will miss you as much as we will! We have been extremely fortunately to have Scott involved in our club for many years. He has taken on several roles including the recent Director of Coaching as part of our executive committee. He has implemented many positive changes to the represenative arm of our club starting a process that will only allow our club to grow stronger each year. Scott has developed strong relationships with our major sponsors, finalising deals that ensures our members pay minimal fees for years to come. He is also an amazing coach, mentor, ex-player, and even had a crack at some refereeing! We can not thank you enough for all the long hours you have given to Wallsend Touch. How privileged we have been to have Tony Bradley dedicate many long hours as Referee Director and then President for the past few years, we want to thank you for everything you have done for the club. Not many people see the long hours a President spends behind the scenes taking lead on many projects such as creating budgets, chasing sponsors, building stakeholder relationships, even marking lines and so much more! Tony is one of the clubs few Level 6 referees, which is the highest accreditation anyone can achieve. We are so proud to have watched you reach this amazing acheivement. The knowledge and dedication you have given Wallsend Touch is second to none! We thank you Tony for everything. Wallsend Touch thank all of you and this is not a good bye.... it is a see you later!

07.01.2022 We are extremely proud to see so many of our Wallsend Touch Junior rep players representing at higher levels in several fields. We would like to acknowledge those players and also wish them to best of luck in the tournaments they are still to complete. Note- please let us know of any good news stories of our CUBS so we can continue to recognise their achievements!... First of, this week we have 8 of our girls representing Hunter in the NSWCHS touch football tournament this week at Mudgee Left to right - Sunny Mitchell - Kyah Little - Jules Kirkpatrick - Lily McNamara - Zali Chippendale - Chloe Allan - Emma Hopkins - Madelyn Stevens Next-up we show case the great achievements of our under 12 boys player Taj W. Taj has been selected in 3 Hunter Region PSSA representative teams across 3 different codes of football - AFL, Rugby League and Rugby Union. Our last acknowledgement is for a talented young lady from our under 14 girls. Kathryn Leyshon recently taking the gold whilst part of in the under 15 Hunter school girls team at the NSWCHS championships! We are so very proud of all of you! #wolfpack

Kel will be speaking at the NSW Touch State Conference this Saturday as part of the COVID-19 panel. Join Kel from 4:30 to 5:30 as the panel discusses all things COVID. Helping out with Managing Rep Teams, being heavily involved in our Junior Committee and just offering to help where ever she could. To Shane, Kim, Megan and David and all of your beautiful family, please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of Liz.... Our hearts are with you in this time of sorrow.

04.01.2022 And that’s a wrap Autumn Comp 2021 Last week, on some very cold nights, our Grandfinals concluded for our 2021 Autumn Comp. What a great season it has been for the first full competition back post COVID! Congratulations to all our winners and also every single player who participated throughout our Comp!... We would like to send a massive thanks to our amazing night supervisor - Cameron Maxwell. Cam looks after both the Mon and Wed comp. He is there both nights, from around 4:30pm til close. We thank him for all the late nights, phone calls to team Managers, sorting fixtures, answering emails, making hard decisions regarding playing or not playing due to bad weather conditions... and so much more! We appreciate all the hard work you have put in behind the scenes to make our Autumn Comp such a successful one! We also want to thank our hard working committee and our volunteers who are also at the fields early setting up and still there long after all the teams have gone home. Without such hard working and dedicated volunteers, our competitions would not run! A big shout out also to our Referees, especially Blake Brown and Kurt Grogan (Night Referee Directors) for keeping them all organised. Games can not go ahead if we don’t have referees! 03.01.2022 And the lights go off at Upper Reserve for the final time in 2020! What a year! We want to thank every team, player, carer, referee, volunteer, and our amazing committee for ensuring touch footy continued to be played at Wallsend Touch in 2020.... From no high fives to QR code sign ins, hand sanitisers at every field, no spectators, no canteen and so on and so on... we made it! We would like make a special mention of our amazing Night Supervisors, Cameron Maxwell and Liberty Little, who spent endless hours tackling the new and frustrating MySideline system ensuring games went ahead and times were correct. Thank you to all of you for supporting our club and we can’t wait to see you all back in 2021! Save the date - 1 March start of Autumn Comp!
