25.01.2022 Water is always a good thing, but when you have to pay for it and now with the latest water restrictions it can be hard to try and maintain your household. But when Mother Nature doesnt deliver, your gardens don’t have to suffer. We have a few water saving tips to keep you and your gardens happy; 1. MULCH - It slows water evaporation, so any moisture received last longer. 2. COMPOST - The more organic matter in your soil, the more it will retain moisture. 3. REUSE OLD WATE...R - Reusing grey water (water from baths, showers, washing machine and washing up) is a great way to recycle and save. Household soaps and detergents are harmless to plants, as long as its doesn't contain bleach, disinfectant etc. (Strong chemicals) 4. NATIVE PLANTS - Choose native plant species for your yard, as they are better at surviving on less water than exotic species. Water is a valuable resource and anyway we can save it in any circumstance is a win for us and the environment. Be water wise, whilst maintaining a beautiful and healthy garden.

14.01.2022 Cool Fact: Pecan Shell If you are looking for an attractive addition to your landscaping that also helps retain moisture in the soil, pecan shells are a great addition to your gardens. Using pecan shells as a mulch or as a soil additive in your beds has several wonderful benefits. You can increase the acidity in alkaline soils for plants, fruits, and vegetables that require a more acidic soils. Pecan shells can also improve drainage & air space in densely packed soils, improving your plants' ability to more effectively uptake oxygen, nutrients, and water through its' root systems. Additionally, pecan shell mulch lasts much longer than traditional mulches, does not fade and has a beautiful dark reddish-brown colour! Come grab a load, you won’t be disappointed!

05.01.2022 Hot tip everyone! We’ve had a little rain lately which has been great but its been causing a little trouble with clients driveways. So a great way to keep your driveway from washing out is laying down some of our Blue Metal. The gravel helps water pass through like a drainage, its cheap, easy to install and maintain.
