10.01.2022 We are back after a month off. On the 14th of November. Range will be open from Friday night for campers and the match to kick off at 1500. Wallumbilla Rifle Club has been inspired by Biggenden and these hotter days to run a twilight match. This will include four different courses of fire run twice to iron out your shitness on the first go then the time limit is reduced to make you hustle for the second go. 85 rounds required. Then once it gets dark there's going to be a furt...her 3 stages requiring another 30 rounds. Total of 115 rounds for a perfect score. There will be a BBQ dinner and drinks available along with a BBQ breakfast. $25 for non members. $5 target levy for WRC members. Pack your .22 as well, if we feel keen after the centerfire match there will be a rimfire match requiring 100 rounds for it as well. On the Sunday morning we will be shooting a pistol match for those with a cat H licence and who would like to get some shoots in the book. 200 rounds required. We will get started at 0800 for an early knock off for those who have to travel. If you're keen can you please rsvp for catering. Any questions please call Kris 0429181435

02.01.2022 *QUEENSLAND SHOOTERS THIS AFFECTS YOU* FOLLOWING on from our recent post about Weapons Licensing suspending or rejecting an increasing number of licences for ...issues long in the past, we have an update. WLB have sent a communication to members of the firearms industry in Queensland outlining their new stance on certain issues, particularly how certain minor offences will affect licence applications and renewals. In the interests of keeping our members and the wider shooting community informed, we are sharing this letter with you now. While being pitched as an exercise in ‘transparency', we are extremely concerned by some of these changes in policies - and as we speak, Shooters Union are seeking expert advice on how to proceed. We are not going to just roll over on this issue. However, we need proper advice on how to address the situation and given it’s smack in the middle of the Christmas/New Year holiday break, that will take a little time to arrange. In the meantime, we reiterate: If you are a member and receive communication from Weapons Licensing regarding your status as a fit and proper person and/or suspending, rejecting or revoking your licence (or PTA etc) for that reason then please IMMEDIATELY send ALL correspondence and documentation related to the issue to us at [email protected] We will look at it and offer some guidance on how to proceed from there we are here to support you!
01.01.2022 Excellent shoot today with good numbers. A lot of improvements noted in most shooters. Well done to Justin for taking out the overall top spot. Only 12 seconds difference between top four placings. Thanks to Geoff, Justin, David and Aaron for sharing with the Range Officer duties. With at least 150 rounds per shooter expended minimum, there will be some members reloading ready for the next shoots.... Excellent, relaxed day with a good bunch of shooters . https://practiscore.com//5ae851fd-0c11-461e-bb4d-3b665b9d1
