10.01.2022 COVID 19 UPDATE 25 MARCH 2020 As and from close of business on 25 March 2020, WAMCO are rostering skeleton staff to physically be present at our office each weekday but this arrangement is subject to change without notice. Our door will remain locked until further notice. WAMCO will endeavour to continue conduct business as usual, utilising telephone links and other electronic means to remain in contact with you.... WAMCO office telephones will be monitored three times each day (at 8:30am, 1:30pm and 4:30pm), with unanswered calls directed to the relevant WAMCO staff member for attention. There will be no face to face appointments unless: - (a) such an appointment is essential; and, (b) the prior approval of WAMCO’s principal Solicitor (Warwick McCarthy) has been obtained. For the purpose of any essential face to face appointments please note the following:- (1) Hand sanitiser is available at the front door, reception and all offices please use it; (2) Unless prior arrangements are in place, no support people are to be present; and, (3) We will endeavour to utilise our conference room for all appointments for ease of cleaning before and after appointments/visits. We remind everyone that double demerits will be in place in New South Wales from 12:00am Thursday 18 April and will run until 11:59pm on Monday, 22 April 2019. ... The double demerit scheme was introduced in New South Wales in 1997. The NSW Police Force will be in full swing over the weekend! The double demerit scheme applies to the following types of offences: - i. Speeding; ii. Not wearing a seat belt; iii. Riding without a helmet; and, iv. Illegal use of mobile phones.
