09.01.2022 Please do not send AMCOS forms to the office. As mentioned in our Rules & Regulations, the Competitor must provide the Adjudicator with the copy of the sheet music together with the completed AMCOS form on the day of the competition. Failure to do so will result in disqualification (Rule 5).

06.01.2022 Dr. Basil Jayatilaka, pianist and composer, has appeared as soloist and accompanist in concerts on TV and radio broadcasts in Australia, the U.K. and Malaysia. Basil has taught at universities in Malaysia, USA and Australia since 1974. Basil's two Malay operas have been televised and performed in Malaysia several times, the last as recent as 2015.... Basil retired from university life as a music educator. His academic achievements in 1997 include a PhD, M. Mus, MSc, Mus. Bac (Hons 1), and 10 diplomas in piano performance and teaching obtained at Trinity College, UK, as Malaysia's first Federal Govt. Scholar. Basil is actively engaged as an adjudicator in many music festivals in different parts of Western Australia. He remains a senior examiner with the AMEB.

04.01.2022 2019 Recital and Concerto Competition Deadline Extended! Due to the large number of late entries we are receiving, we have decided to extend the closing date for a few more days. All entries must be received before midday next Thursday 15th August to be included - we regret that we can accept no further entries past this date.
