20.01.2022 Tribute to Peter C With great sadness and sorrow, I wish to pay respects to Peter Catalini, who passed away unexpectedly this week. Peter was a true Wangi icon, and instrumental in the success of so many Wangi Community projects. From being a member of the Wangi Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group, the Wangi Garden Club (which was certainly not his passion, but yet he was a tireless volunteer and assistant) the Wangi Scarecrow Competition Committee member, and Judge, numerou...s other Wangi Community projects, and the odd anonymous mosaic sign, (which I would plead with Council to return to the community, or the Wangi Men's Shed) Involvement and assistance to Dobell House, The Wangi Centenary Committee, and of course, the Wangi Men’s Shed, where he has been referred to as Mr Men’s Shed. Organising both the Shed, and so many projects for local schools, organisations and social groups. I am sure there will be many others wishing to add his accolades to this list of memberships and support, as his efforts did not cease in Wangi, and expanded into many other areas, not least, his beloved car clubs. Peter will be sorely missed, both personally, and by Wangi as a whole. And our thoughts go out to his wife Helen and family. A man that truly made a difference, to Wangi as a community, and to so many lives.

08.01.2022 Next week will bring to a close the Wangi Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group. Those that belonged to the group had a successful and rewarding experience. There is no one with the time and skills to continue the group, but all current documents will remain with LMCC and The Alliance. SO, if you would like to see the Scarecrow Competition continue and you have some free time, leave a message here and we will give you some relevant information, or come to the last meeting next Tuesday 13th at Wangi Bowling Club for the last handover.

07.01.2022 WOW, who would be up to a Christmas tree Scarecrow next year?
