25.01.2022 Close racing was on display with plenty of bump drafting, paint swapping and side-by-side through the corner. We cant wait to be able to allow spectators back in so they can witness this in person, however for now well just ensure to keep the photos and video coming! Stay tuned for the highlight reel tomorrow!

23.01.2022 Check out this write up on the WA Sporting Car Clubs August Race meet by Motorsport Australia Were looking forward to the September round in just a few weeks!

22.01.2022 The procession of cars down the final straight into Turn 7 has been sorely missed, however with some strong fields coming out to race on the weekend, the entire straight was taken up for almost all of the races. Led around by our safety car team Allan and Karen, it was one of our favourite sights to see again. Were you out in one of those fields? How did it feel?

22.01.2022 Looking for a motorsport fix this Saturday night?

18.01.2022 40 is the number of times the Excel Cup cars will be heading over the horizon of turn 5 and down into Turn 6 as they all try to take out the Enduro this year. Weve got competitors pulling double duties, competing in their usual classes as well as the Excel Cup Enduro on Sunday. How will they go? Will the extra seat time be an advantage or a disadvantage? PLUS! Spectators are welcome back for just $5 per car per day into the Turn 2, 3 and 7 park and view areas. We look forward to seeing you all back!

16.01.2022 You tighten your left glove, you tighten your right glove and set your visor into the down position. Gripping the steering wheel you wait for the green light so that you can show that you have what it takes to be the next Daniel Ricciardo, Garth Tander or Adam Marjoram .... However a light touch on the glove is received with a "Not yet, let's ease into this..." Looking around, you remember that you're at the WA Sporting Car Club 's Competition Driving School and you're here ...to take your racing to the next level. Perfect for the beginner racer, or for seasoned racers suffering from a bit of the red mist and needing a reset, the 2020 WASCC Competition Driving School is being held on 14th October 2020 and registrations are now open. Thinking of coming along? Contact the race office on 08 9306 8022 and ask to speak to someone about the October Competition Driving School. 16.01.2022 Charging down through the esses at Wanneroo Raceway and into Turn 1 isnt something you hear often, but at the Tarmac Sportz Series Point2Point events, it certainly is. Our competitors can race what they drive to work or keep in their shed for special occasions. Weve got 1969 BMWs, 2019 Tesla Model 3s, Ford Escorts, Holden Monaros and much more taking to the track this weekend. It is one of the cheapest, most fun ways to enter motorsport competitively and it is on again this Saturday 25th July from 11am and for spectators, it is absolutely free to come and watch the on track action, and wander the pits to check out the cars.

16.01.2022 Join commentator Vaughn Brewer and Chris Mitchell as they wrap up the first day of the July race meet which featured action from the Sports Sedans & Street Cars, Time Challenge, Historic Touring Cars, Excel Cup and Formula Racing. We also welcomed back spectators to our park and view areas and look forward to doing so for Day 2 which will feature the Tander Cup and the Excel Enduro! Spectators are just $5 per car with track action starting from 8am. See you there!... 15.01.2022 Thank you to our hard working volunteer officials over the weekend. Getting the green flag out and waving was only made possible by you! If you are interested in volunteering at any upcoming events, make sure to get in touch with the WA Sporting Car Club office, Motorsport Australia or the Wanneroo Flag Marshal Association who can point you in the right direction.

15.01.2022 The WA Sporting Car Club returned to racing after a three month break at the weekend and with six categories racing including Formula Ford, Formula Vee, Excel Cup, Historic Touring Cars, Time Challenge, Saloon Cars and Improved Production the expectation was always going to be for some close, entertaining racing. Even with restrictions in place such as only one pit crew per competitor, social distancing requirements for volunteer officials and no spectators permitted to be tr...ack side, the usual hum of the race day was not diminished and perhaps was more heightened by the length of time between the last laps turned here. From the start of the day it was clear that there were some cobwebs needing to be blown out of the engines of both the drivers and the cars with some minor visits to the various sand traps around the track for most of the first outings of each category however there were no visits that caused early retirements for the day. Welcome Back! https://www.wascc.com.au/close-action-as-circuit-racing-ret #motorsport #wascc #wasccround2

13.01.2022 The Saloon Cars are currently on track here at Wanneroo Raceway, the final time for this race round. Some tight racing earlier has lead to a couple of retirements, but the field is still extending all the way down to turn 7. Still time for spectators to join us, $5 per car entry with park and view on turn 2, 3 and 7.

12.01.2022 Enduro races can be won or lost in the pit lane. Most of Sunday leading up to the Excel Cup enduro drivers could be seen practicing their driver swaps to figure out which driver should drive first and then which driver should be the one to jump in second based on their swap over time. In the Chase Hoy / Connor Wroth entry, Chase drove first with Connor jumping in for the last part of the enduro race.... The enduro would eventually be won by Jake Passaris and Tom Hamlett in a time of 51:18.4180. The Wroth/Hoy entry finished in 7th place with a time of 52:09.0635.

09.01.2022 Welcome back to our spectators! Entry is just $5 per car this weekend and youre welcome to the Park and View areas of turns 2, 3 and 7. The final qualifying session for the morning is underway and will be followed up shortly by Race 1 of the Swan Towing Sports Sedans and Cars combined race with McDonalds Street Cars!

09.01.2022 Wow! Check out this car from the WA Sports Sedan & Sports Car Association Inc on track today. WA Sporting Car Clubs September meet is well underway, plenty of spots left in our park and view areas for just $5 per car.

09.01.2022 Flashback to the June 2020 race round! Well be welcoming back up to 4 pit crew for our competitors as well as spectators in our park and view areas of turns 2, 3 and 7. Are you coming down? Which turn will you be watching from?... https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2816098575165673

09.01.2022 The Formula Classic category sure didnt disappoint this weekend with a strong field of museum pieces taking to the track and being driven like they were current race cars. Marty Bullock in his Chevron B20 took out top honours in the category this race meet and we look forward to seeing them around the circuit again soon putting on a show for the spectators who returned in high numbers this weekend.

09.01.2022 What a weekend of racing! It was fantastic to see so many motorsport fans taking advantage of the weather and the park and view areas over the weekend to watch the close racing put on by our competitors. Thank you to all that came out, watched, participated, and of course volunteered to make this race meet what it was!

08.01.2022 Our final race of the day will be the Excel Enduro. Scheduled for 40 laps, these front wheel drive cars will be jostling each other, bump drafting and more around our 2.4km circuit here at Wanneroo Raceway.

08.01.2022 Competitors! With restrictions easing, you are permitted up to four persons on your pit crew for the upcoming Tander Cup and Excel Enduro race round on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July. Who are you welcoming back to your pit crew for this round? Spectators are welcome back too with Turns 2, 3 and 7 open for Park and View spectators for just $5 per car.

07.01.2022 This is another view that spectators can see from our park and view areas of Turn 2 and 3 as the cars climb through the esses before entering Turn 4. We are welcoming back spectators this race weekend with entry just $5 per car per day so you and your mates can come along and watch all the action of the race weekend. There are 12 categories of racing this weekend so there is something for everyone, from the Formula Historics to the insane Improved Production cars chasing the ...Tander Cup! What category are you most looking forward to watching?

07.01.2022 Do you need an "in-person" motorsport fix? Head down to Wanneroo Raceway on the 25th July 2020 for the Tarmac Sportz Series Point2Point event. Tarmac Sportz Series is about bringing what you drive to the track and last year at a Point2Point, there was even an offroad buggy that passed scrutineering.... While the Slowlite Buggy wont be competing at this round, we are welcoming a whole range of other cars to the track including Subaru WRXs, Westfield Clubmans, Lotus Elises, and even a zippy little Hyundai Excel. Entry for spectators is free from 11am and youre welcome to check out all the cars in the pits on the day.

06.01.2022 After the chequered flag was waved on the first round back after our enforced break, wed like to thank all the competitors, their pit crew and our volunteer officials who assisted in ensuring the Motorsport Australia Return to Racing restrictions were adhered to. We agree it was tough to only have one crew with you, however by doing this it ensures that we can keep racing. Whos keen for Round 3?... #welcomeback #returntoracing #wascc
