21.01.2022 More great news for the Devils, Marcus Jordan has joined the club for season 2020. Marcus is a goal kicking forward who captained Knox FC the past 2 seasons. The 27yo who was named Best on Ground for Knox when they won the 2017 flag, was also the leading goal kicker at Knox the past 2 seasons. The club is very pleased to add another quality senior player to the squad for season 2020. Pre-season training for all players re starts January 20th and there is now plenty of com...petition among our players for senior games. 21.01.2022 A message to supporters and players from Senior Coach, Steve Cochrane.

21.01.2022 The EFNL have advised the 2020 season has been delayed until May 2nd 2020. This will be reviewed on April 14th. The Devils have stopped formal training sessions and cancelled all remaining practice games. All our players are continuing to regularly train privately in small groups with programs to follow from the Senior coach. Our players will be accountable to each other through sharing pictures and videos of themselves training in a private (players only) Facebook group to... help keep the group engaged and active. We know its important to comply with advice and direction from the relevant governing authorities and medical experts. We also know everyone is in the same situation, so we will continue to do what we can to be as prepared as we can. There is no surety of the season starting on May 2nd, but we do expect to play a shortened season if and when it commences. We will deal with how it will work when we know more. We have no known cases of the Covid-19 virus in our clubs large community, but we understand it is contagious and potentially harmful to some people. We want to help contain the spread of this virus and will continue to adapt to the directions as they emerge. 18.01.2022 The EFNL has advised, the season start has been further delayed to May 31st. We are living through a unique situation in our lifetimes and we dont really know what happens next, so its better to be safe than sorry for the next few weeks. We will keep you updated here, in the meantime please keep active and healthy.

16.01.2022 The Devils will be back in 2021. If anything, we are stronger together. We are very pleased to announce, virtually all our senior list has signed on for an exciting return to local footy next season. This includes our young guns and the senior recruits of 2020. ... Thank you to Knox Club for supporting the Devils this season, and every season. Our friends at Knox Club have had many challenges too, but never wavered in their support of the Devils. 14.01.2022 **To all our supporters and our community** One important benefit of being part of a footy club or any team sport club is the camaraderie between people with a shared interest. This gives us a sense of belonging to something bigger than ourselves that is enjoyable and healthy. All our players, coaches & supporters are missing the excitement of the footy season not starting this week, but we understand the situation we are all in. We will continue to comply with all the dire...ctions and advice of Government and Medical authorities. No one can predict with confidence when restrictions and social distancing will lift, Until we know more, our club will continue to support our amazing group of enthusiastic players and encourage them as they keep active and connected with each other. We will need to be resilient thats for sure, and having friends to talk with is more important than ever. We are encouraging all our players to call each other regularly. Supporters too. The Devils is not just a footy club, we are a place full of friends, so lets all keep in touch and support each other. Texts and Facebook posts are ok, but having a chat with a friend or a family member is better. Some of us may be struggling though, so Its important we understand and support each other where we can. 13.01.2022 Senior Assistant Coach Sam Bates has committed to season 2021 at the Devils under Steve Cochrane. Sam is an integral part of our coaching staff and his experience and leadership is valued by our players and the Club is very happy he is continuing in his role. Sam played over 300 senior games, including premierships and is an EFNL and Devils Life member. Sam also coached our Development team in 2018. The Devils are fortunate in having the caliber of Sam coaching our players. His enthusiasm and care for our players well being and development is outstanding. The club is proud to have quality coaches available for all our players.

13.01.2022 Paul Riley will continue as the Devils U19 coach for season 2021. The club is excited by the quality and numbers of U19's players joining the club, and we wanted the experienced and popular Paul Riley in charge of our young future senior players. It can be a challenging age in football terms, and strong consistent messages are important along with an attitude of genuine support for young players as they transition from boys to men's footy. Paul has the skills and experience to make a difference. Paul led the U19's in 2019 to finals, and whilst we were confident for 2020, we have even more to look forward to in 2021. This will be Paul's 4th season in charge of our U19's and the club is proud to have Paul Riley in this role.

11.01.2022 Paul Payne will be the Development coach at the Devils for 2021. Paul was appointed for the abandoned 2020 season, so we are very pleased he has committed to the club for 2021. Paul was a Devils player, who also played footy at VFA level back in the day. Paul has been coaching junior teams in recent years, but he has plenty experience at senior level having coached the Devils to finals previously. The development of players from U19 to Senior level is a vital role in all clubs. Paul has the skills and experience to help our younger players develop into senior footballers, and we are very pleased he will be involved in 2021.

11.01.2022 Cockers has unfinished business! The Devils are very happy that Senior Coach Steve Cochrane recently committed to season 2021. Steves experience and knowledge of footy is enormous and he is highly respected by our players and supporters. After a tight Div 1 season in 2019 the Devils narrowly avoided relegation under Steve, but the club has since recruited strongly with a focus on the medium term. We were feeling quietly confident we could be there when the whips are cracki...ng, and we still are for 2021. So we wont be playing this year, but Steves enthusiasm and care for our club and players has meant he wants to coach this group in what will be a very exciting year in 2021. 10.01.2022 Former popular Wantirna South player Andrew ONeill sadly passed away Sunday August 2nd 2020. Many a Devils player walked taller with the big fella in the team. ... He had a heart of gold and often talked about the good old days playing footy at the Devils. He was a keen follower of the clubs fortunes and enjoyed coming to the odd home game to see the boys strut their stuff. Andrew was in Mallacootta spending time with his father and was enjoying a relaxing lifestyle. We have lost a good man in Andrew ONeill. Our thoughts go out to Andrews partner Heather, and his children who are really hurting in this sad time for them.

04.01.2022 Im sure most of you know by now that the 2020 footy season has been cancelled as of today. I and many others grimly held onto the hope we would play this year, but thats probably because we just wanted it to happen - We are Footy tragics at the Devils. In the end the Victorian Government restrictions have meant the leagues had to make the call to abandon 2020 and return in 2021. It is disappointing we have to wait until next year to strut our stuff on the field but that...s the way it is. That doesnt mean we wont be getting together off the field. We plan to hold a couple of great nights at the club when the restrictions allow us. We are a footy club afterall. We hope to see all supporters and players at these nights. We will keep our club strong and be ready to take on our rivals in 2021. Steve Draper - President
