25.01.2022 Marine Search and Rescue Operation Scarborough The search for a missing teenager at Scarborough Beach will re-commence at first light this morning, 24 Novembe...r 2020. Just after 8pm last night, Monday 23 November 2020, Police received an emergency call regarding four youths in difficulty in the water at Scarborough Beach. Information received was that three people made it to shore with assistance but a fourth person, a 16-year-old male teenager could not be located. A marine search and rescue operation commenced. Search assets being deployed again this morning include: Local police; Water Police; Volunteer Marine Rescue; Surf Lifesaving personnel; Police air wing; and RAC Rescue helicopter.

22.01.2022 Mirrabooka Police are investigating the circumstances surround a crash that occurred last night, 25 November 2020 in Nollamara. Around 11.20pm, a 20-year-old man was driving his red Ford Falcon utility north on Wanneroo Road. As he passed Harrison Street he lost control of the vehicle, which resulted in his vehicle striking a power pole and shearing it off at the base. The power pole fell over a nearby brick fence and into the roof of a home on Myimber Way in Nollamara causi...ng minor damage to the roof. The power pole will need to be replaced. The driver left the scene and was later located by police. No charges have been laid at this time. Mirrabooka Police wish to speak to anyone who saw the crash or the Ford Falcon utility travelling in the area prior to the crash. 20.01.2022 Arson Squad detectives have charged a 22-year-old man as a result of their investigation into a fire at a hair salon in Balcatta on 17 September 2020. It is alleged around 4am, the man gained entry into a shopping centre located on Jones Street and from there entered the hair salon. It is further alleged the man stole items from the store before setting it alight. The fire caused an estimated $50,000 damage.... The 22-year-old man from Bassendean has been charged with:- Two counts of Aggravated Burglary and Commit; One count of Criminal Damage by Fire; and One count of Stealing. He is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 10 November 2020.

15.01.2022 WA Police are investigating an incident involving an explosion which occurred at about 4:30pm on Sunday 22/Nov/2020 at the toilet block in Belrose Park, Kallaro...o. Three male youths were seen running from the area of the blast shortly after the incident. Police are concerned for the welfare of the youths given the nature of the explosion and possibility for immediate burn and/or blast injuries or potential for ongoing inhalation/respiratory type injuries. 12.01.2022 Arson Squad detectives have charged a 30-year-old man as a result of their investigation into a fire at a Shisha Bar and restaurant located on Walter Road West Morley on Wednesday, 23 September 2020. It is alleged just before 3am, the man forced entry into the restaurant and set fire to several areas within the kitchen area. The fire spread through the kitchen and into the ceiling space causing extensive damage. On Tuesday 27 October 2020, Arson Squad detectives arrested the... man and charged him with:- Criminal Damage by Fire; and Burglary and Commit. The man from Middle Swan is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 28 October 2020.

09.01.2022 On both Saturday 17 October and Sunday 18 October, Scarborough Police conducted Operation Quash. The intent of this operation was to target anti-social and criminal behaviour near the Scarborough beach front and entertainment precinct, particularly over the weekend period. Local police engaged with City of Stirling, local business owners, and utilised officers from a number of different units within the agency, including:-... Mounted Police Canine Unit Traffic Enforcement Group Regional Operations Group and, Breath and Drug Operations. The result was a highly visible presence and a reduction in crime and anti-social behaviour during the operation. Local police will continue to work to make the community a safe place for everyone.
