14.01.2022 JEREMY BROOKES A bit about you? people call me Jezza I started my bowling career off at lilydale for like 10 years then found my home in warby.... What do you like about the club? Cant get past the people at the club they are very welcoming. Proudest moments? Was proud to be apart of the div 2 flag a few years back and winning Club Singles was the highlight for me.
14.01.2022 TRAVIS APPLETON How long have you bowled for? Started playing bowls 4 years ago I think. Got into it through barefoot, and haven’t looked back.... Any memorable moments you wish to share? Most memorable moment in bowls would have to be winning the div one flag last year, but being part of div 2 being promoted and winning a couple of club game finals has been up there as well. Away from pennant, heading up to tat for a weekend playing triples was one of the best experiences I have had playing bowls, a really fun weekend. What do you like most about the club? Best thing about being part of the club is how inclusive it is, and the fun and banter that goes along with it. It’s always a good time, great for a laugh, especially when Walshy tries to tell everyone he's the best driver our club has
13.01.2022 Wishing Paul McConachy a very happy birthday, we all hope you have a fabulous day and good year ahead, from us all here at the club!

09.01.2022 GRAHAM WYND how long have you bowled at Warburton? I have bowled at Warby since 2000, 20 years.... Have you played in any finals or grandfianals? I have played 5 premiership sides, including white flag in the second side, skipping and team captain in 3. I i have also been in 2 winning night premierships, the very first team included Bill Gillies so were called the pensioners, i have kept that name in honour of Bill. This Year our team included my grandson Mitchell and brother in law Ray. Son Steve filled in so that gave us 3 generations of Wynds. Very proud moment for me. Funniest club person? I always think of Keith Thomas for his saying when he did a good bowl "the power of prayer". When he was skipper and you did a good first shot he would say "how's your memory". He has a saying "life is like a roll of toilet paper, the older it gets the faster it goes".
08.01.2022 Happy birthday Chris Lord, we hope you have a fantastic day, get spoilt and spend it with family, from everyone here at the club
08.01.2022 STAN ANDERSON Can you share a bit of your bowls story? I Initially started playing bowls at Yarra Junction.... Have you played in any finals or grandfianals? I have played in about 4 grand finals. Any proud moments? In 2018/19 I was awarded MVP 3 division playing as a third after previously playing as a lead. Anything else you wish to share with us? I'm one of only a few players who play with a bowling arm as a consequence of a medical condition.

03.01.2022 GARY BROUSSARD How did you start bowls? I first started my bowls journey at healesville, I went there out of respect to my mum who was both Lady President and club champion. From there I went to mooroolbark but was only there a short time due to a injury.... I then came to Warburton where I had previously played social bowls with Ian Robert Gaye, and am still here today. I certainly have a love for the club. Proudest moment? Winning club champion in 2016. This was very special for me as now mum and my club championship trophies sit side by side, which means a lot. What are some of your best memories? Playing with Billy Gillys in club pairs. I even managed to track down his bowls to buy and still play with them today. Playing for the club, night pennant and Saturday pennant and being part of very successful years including winning the division 2 white flag. Favourite person/people to watch? I really enjoy watching the 'odd couple' Freddie and Walshy play in pairs games, they give me a good laugh. Favourite person? Charlie chew kertcher Anything else you wish to say? I couldn't recommend a better club and proud to still be part of it and its why I've never left. GO BURRAS
