16.01.2022 Easing Sydney’s Congestion: Ward to deliver two more projects at Turramurra and Blakehurst Ward is delighted to have secured two new Easing Sydney Congestion (ESC) projects with Transport for NSW, one at Turramurra and the other at Blakehurst. We enjoy working with TfNSW and are delighted to be part of the ESC team delivering significant improvements to reduce Sydney's congestion.... Pacific Highway between, Turramurra and Wahroonga: Ward will widen and upgrade a section of the Pacific Highway between Turramurra and Wahroonga to reduce travel times and improve traffic flow. Princes Highway south of Torrens Street, Blakehurst: Ward will remove the long-standing tidal flow arrangement on the Princes Highway south of Torrens Street at Blakehurst by widening and upgrading the road. This project is part of TfNSW’s Gateway to the South Pinch Point program. Ward has already delivered a number successful ESC projects at Lane Cove, Macquarie park, Eastwood, Liverpool, Hoxton Park and Parramatta (currently underway). Well done to our estimating team on two great wins. It’s going to be a busy time for the Ward project delivery team! #ward #wardcivil #engineering #engineer #civilengineering #newprojects #projects #sydney #tfnsw #traffic #easingsydneyscongestion #construction

06.01.2022 Ward Civil plant manager Nick Stama recently delivered a 4WD Navara Ute to The Glen Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre as part of Ward’s support for the excellent work done by Alex Lee and his team. The Glen is a Central Coast based service that provides Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation opportunities for men (Indigenous and non-Indigenous from all over NSW). In 1994, Ngaimpe Aboriginal Corporation was registered, and set up The Glen. Since that date it has been an example ...of the triumph of the Koori and the human spirit. The Glen is evidence that dreams can come true. The Glen is the only male specific Central Coast Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre. The founding motivation for The Glen was the suffering of the community at the hands of drugs and alcohol addiction. The Glen was and still is today, especially interested in trying to get men (Indigenous and non-Indigenous) out of the criminal justice system and into treatment for their drug or alcohol addiction, which causes the offending behaviours. Ward is a proud supporter of the Glen. Pictured at the recent presentation of the Ute are; Glen CEO Alex Lee, Ward COO Brian Mahon, Community and Diversity Manager Danielle and Plant Manager Nick Stama and Dean. #ward #wardcivil #engineering #theglen #nissan #support

04.01.2022 Ward was delighted to participate in the recent University of Technology Sydney Girls in STEM tinker workshop for Year 7-10 students which is designed to encourage more females to choose a career in civil engineering. The Ward team had a great time answering questions and helping out with the activity creating a model structure using craft materials, within a set of climatic and socio-economic conditions. I enjoyed meeting female engineers/graduates. They provided me with ...a lot of insight on their field of work and aspects of being an engineer. Year 7 participant, 2020 My favourite part of the workshop was when I got to meet female members of the Ward company. Year 7 participant, 2020 We hope we had a positive impact, and would love to see the girls on site in a few years’ time! Thank you to Lauren Black WEIT Program Coordinator and the team from UTS for hosting us. Thanks to the Ward team for giving up their time: Ying Feng, Undergraduate Engineer Kaylene Bosman, Safety Coordinator Danielle Amos, Community and Stakeholder Relations Manager Olivia Cowell, Estimator Vanessa Zbinden, Environmental Coordinator Olivia Bryce-Stark, Undergraduate Engineer Nicole Sandow, Undergraduate Engineer #ward #wardcivil #engineering #womeninengineering #uts #students
