15.01.2022 2D have been studying the material world in science and how different materials can be used for different purposes. Yesterday they enjoyed looking at natural materials that indigenous people have used to build shelters as part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations. They discussed sustainability, caring for the land and the land caring for us. 2D designed shelters for a chosen toy and then constructed them using materials from the playground. They look great and even withstood wind during the lesson!
