25.01.2022 UPDATE to Sunday 21st June scheduled launch With all the excitement that we can resume launching rockets as scheduled post Covid-19 restrictions & the weather looking favourable this weekend, the Landowner's Representative has consulted with our farmer and due to lambing season just beginning she has informed that this weekend's WARS event will be CANCELLED. I will review with both of them in the coming week to reschedule this event. This is a non-negotiable decision as thei...r concern to the farming schedule is paramount, and the impact to the ewes and lambs must be considered. Further information will be provided via email and the website.

Saturday 13 July (Grass Valley) Saturday 27 July (Williams) Sunday 4 August (Grass Valley) Sunday 18 August (Grass Valley) Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 September (Williams) WWW With Thunda 2 scheduled for blast off in Queensland from Thursday 18th April - Sunday 21st April this years WWW has been re-scheduled for the September long weekend to allow event organisers a little more time to prepare.

21.01.2022 Happy Friday nite Tomorrow's event in William's will be chilly but we will have the fires burning to keep us warm and lots of flights to keep us entertained. Please drive carefully through the townsite particularly over the bridge; there are lots of roadworks. Be aware police are vigilant in William's A reminder to follow the directions to the launch site carefully & drive slowly particularly through the paddocks - the sheep will he attracted to your vehicle. Any concerns with the sheep or gates, please contact Dave or myself immediately. Look forward to a great day

21.01.2022 With the planned easing of restrictions from Saturday 6th June, it appears that we will be able to launch on Sunday 7th June as planned. There will be some requirements around maintaining social distancing & precautions on shared facilities, but for the most part, it is business as usual! The planned Grass Valley launch will commence from 9:00AM. If you need further information, please send an email to [email protected]

17.01.2022 And so it is done WWW 2019; 'Back to Basics'. The decision to change to the September long weekend has meant absolutely fabulous weather for fantastic flights with new friends and old. And a great feast of food! Thank you to all who contributed and supported the event from flyers, spectators, our terrific WARS committee & dedicated members, and finally, Gil and Mum. 07.01.2022 WWW 2019 scheduled for the long weekend (28 & 29 Sept) has several Awards presented at Saturday's 'Banquet' Dinner including; Mission Specialist Award acknowledging an outstanding contribution to rocketry; Pink Hat Award acknowledging underachievement (this is a fun award, tongue in cheek); Sheraton Award (for those that are camping onsite) for the best tent or site set-up; Cuballing Slice Off which this year will be renamed to the 'Mariescombe Award' with a financial contrib...ution to the recipient. 03.01.2022 With significant measures being taken across the country to combat the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the AMRS number one priority is ensuring the on-going good health of members and the general public. Given the requirements on social distancing and that Defence has notified reservists to be on standby, AMRS member organisations will be ceasing club launches effective immediately and assessing the situation monthly. At present the WARS launch season will have at least a... delayed start. The planned April & May launch dates will be postponed/cancelled with a review of the situation planned for 31st May See more
