25.01.2022 Aboriginal people have lived in the Kakadu region for up to 50,000 years and no cultural tour of Kakadu is complete without a visit to the Warradjan Cultural Centre. Located about one kilometre from Cooinda Lodge, this interactive centre provides detailed information and displays about Aboriginal culture in Kakadu.

22.01.2022 Make sure you schedule in some time to check out the centre, there is lots to be seen! There are many great displays, developed by Kakadu's Aboriginal owners, providing detailed information about Aboriginal culture and the flora & fauna in Kakadu.

21.01.2022 We called in to Warradjan Cultural Centre this morning, for a lesson in bracelet and basket weaving with traditional land owner, Elizabeth. We used died Pandanus leaves. All of the kids got involved, a great way to finish off a few nights exploring. Repost from todoingfamily.com

20.01.2022 Message sticks are used to send messages to other people. They remind the carrier of the message, and also give that person authority to tell it. Repost from @ld.atienza

15.01.2022 While you're in Kakadu make sure you stop in at the centre and check out the great range of handcrafted, authentic, local-made arts and crafts. You may even be lucky enough to watch some artists at work in the store. credit @danandmoore

14.01.2022 At the Warradjan Cultural Centre you can get involved with the regular activities hosted by traditional owners and learn more about the local community, their history and the way they have lived for thousands of years. @bushwalkingmama got crafty making a bracelet out of sting made from the pandanus plant.

14.01.2022 We're sad to say that the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre will be closed for a little while to visitors. Stay safe during these unprecedented times and take care of yourselves. We look forward to re-opening our doors and welcoming you all in the hopefully not too distant future.

08.01.2022 The Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, in Yellow Water, shares the vast and fascinating culture of the Bininj/Mungguy traditional owners. One display shows how the Bininj/Mungguy people recognise six seasons of Kakadu by observing their surrounding environment such as the flowering and fruiting of plants. credit @mrsbotanical
