25.01.2022 We will be closed tomorrow to catch up on paperwork (Monday)... and plan to reopen the following day. Sorry for any inconvenience...

24.01.2022 A huge shout out and thanks to Warragul Steel for their fast work to reinforce the front and rear of our family run business. Yes it may look a bit like a zombie apocalypse barricade, but in light of Baw Baw's escalating crime wave ( http://thegazette.com.au/20//01/baw-baw-hit-by-crime-wave/ ) it is important for us to maintain a safe place for our customers to bring their computers in for repair.

22.01.2022 Yep....we got our hands on a 3080 !

19.01.2022 ...We finally got our hands on one of the bleeding edge STATE OF THE ART - new (released just days ago) - NVIDIA 30 series graphics cards today in particular the NVIDIA RTX 3070 8GB!!!!! And yeah... we were impressed! :) Our quick and simple summery review is as follows: On average our initial tests using that latest games 1440p and 4k... it has similar performance of a 2080ti......and a whopping 25%-30% cooler...solving the overheating curse from the previous gen at half ...the price. However, surprisingly on the very few tests we ran with 1080p on older 3D engines.... it was only slightly better performance than the previous generation 2070 Super and about the same temperature. In short its a HUGE win for the those interested in 1440p and 4k gaming.... but some 1080p gamers may be less enthused. It will be interesting to run some more tests to see how far the performance stretch is across a wider title base as time permits. ......oh and we will be selling the P.C. this time. :) Only 1 available.

16.01.2022 Dear Customers, Edit 18 05 20: We have returned to regular hours, but are limiting on the spot work to "as needed", and have a revised cleaning process in place. Re: New revised trading times (for now) & New flexible services... The last few weeks have been very challenging for all Australians, and for anyone running a service based business this is no exception. Only weeks ago our small family run store would be buzzing with customers getting one on one assistance five to six days a week, often with minimal standing room. Things have changed and we too have had to adapt. This is how we are complying with the new isolation rules, social distancing regulations, and enhanced hygiene measures............ 1) Edit 18 05 20: We have returned to regular hours, but are limiting on the spot work to "as needed", and have a revised cleaning process in place. There will be a limit of 1 customer in the store at a time. Customer interactions are to be kept to a minimum time frame, with our signature free follow up training sessions to major software related work to be done remotely. The serving counter is cleaned down regularly & isopropyl alcohol is applied to electronic equipment to sterilise. 2) Edit 18 05 20: We have returned to regular hours, but are limiting on the spot work to "as needed", and have a revised cleaning process in place. 3) We have added the following 2 new services to compensate for limited in store options. Please call if you have any questions regarding these 2 new services: A drop off and pickup service for those that can't make it in store. For most this will be a free local service - within reason. Over the phone/computer, capped price product support and remote assistance. We do this by using a licensed commercial software that lets us remotely make adjustments to your computer, install software, remove some viruses, and install some printers......without you having drag your computer out of the house! Please email [email protected] for the free software download link and further details. Remote assistance will be discounted for seniors, at risk and front line workers. ____________________________________ Regards from Jon and the team at Warragul Computer Repair 6 Smith St Warragul 56232777

12.01.2022 The Drouin Lions Garden Show is on this weekend. We will be there showcasing Basic Invoice and dropping a few giveaways along the way. Find us in between the Exhibition Building and the ...er toilets. Both places worthy of a visit!

12.01.2022 Thank you Jake Manley (on behalf of the Drouin Men's Shed ) for volunteering your time to assist us to refurbish and provide free laptops for students that could not otherwise afford them. The photo here shows Jake (right) presenting yet another laptop to be taken to Vanuatu....that makes 5 in Total so far to Vanuatu in the last few months. 15 to Cambodia, and another 20 or so to local charity groups. Thanks again to Noel (left) for making it possible to get these to where they need to be.
