25.01.2022 We're back in business. It was great to be able to meet as a Club for the first time since lock-down commenced all those months ago. Our meeting held on Wednesday 11th November at the Warragul Country Club was probably one of the noisiest meetings you could imagine with plenty of catching up with fellow members and sharing our plans for the future. Congratulations to our new President Michael Stephenson on surviving his first meeting at the top table.

18.01.2022 Books, books and more books. If all goes well with the current covid situation, the Lions Club of Warragul will be able to run its Annual Book Fair again next year. The date will be sometime early in the new year - around February or March 2021. In anticipation of this we are now looking for a supply of good quality books that we can sell. If you have any books that you would like to donate please get in contact and we will arrange to pick them up. Great way to de-clutter and help the community at the same time.

16.01.2022 Great last minute gifts. Contact us to get your cakes today.

16.01.2022 More than one way to deliver the Lions Club firewood

16.01.2022 This National Volunteers Week, Lions Australia celebrates its superhero volunteers who go above and beyond to help their communities every day. Our members know... the true meaning of giving back, and recent events like the bush fires and the COVID-19 health crisis show us just how much can be achieved by volunteering your time to a service organisation like Lions. Join us in sharing a #WaveforVolunteers as we say a big thank you to our 28,000 Lions, Lionesses and Leos. #NVW2020 Volunteering Australia Pictured (clockwise from top): Lions Australia 2019-20 Council Chairperson Kim Forrest Lions Australia Executive Officer Rob Oerlemans Australian Lions Hearing Dogs CEO David Horne and Wynne Lions Australia Finance and Operations Manager Max Shirley and son Daniel Lions Australia Public Relations Officer Hannah Mills

15.01.2022 Merry Christmas and a great new year to all our friends.

15.01.2022 Another example of where our hard earned money is going.

12.01.2022 Can you believe it's that time already? 2020 has been challenging in lots of ways, but the good news is the Lions Christmas cake is here to stay. Perfected over... the years, the traditional Lions Australia Christmas cake recipe is packed with high quality ingredients and 50% fruit but there’s one magic ingredient in this cake that sets it apart from the rest. The Lions Christmas Cake makes a difference. With all proceeds going back to Lions Clubs and initiatives across the country, the cakes help fund a range of vital projects in the community. We are also pleased to confirm we have found a new supplier following the closure of Top Taste bakery which has been producing the cakes for the past 35 years. Top Taste has produced their final bake of Lions Cakes for the 2020 season and from next year the Christmas cakes will be produced by Victorian-based Traditional Foods. We look forward to working with Traditional Foods to carry forth the great quality and taste that you've all come to love. Find a cake near you: https://lionsclubs.org.au/activities/products/cakes/

11.01.2022 Great to have a visit from DG Graham last night in our second meeting for the year. Well done to Lions Jim Harrison and Frank Grogan who received their 50 year medalions and also to Lions Sam Vicino and John Daniels who received their 45 year monarchs. Also fantastic that Graham was able to induct our newest member Ron Sell.

11.01.2022 Another load of firewood for the Lions Club of Warragul to cut and split.

10.01.2022 Is kindness your Jam? Desperate times call for delicious cooking. If you have been busy in the kitchen creating sweet treats or spicy bites to share (from a d...istance) with neighbours and loved ones we would love to hear about it. Post your pictures. Tell your stories. How the scones and homemade strawberry jam you delivered to your elderly neighbour made her day. How your signature brownies gave the stressed out family next door a reason to smile. Unexpected kindness is the sweetest, share your recipe here. #kindnessmatters #lions #weserve See more

10.01.2022 Warragul Lions Club helps Primary School Children coming back to the Warragul North Primary School this month will benefit from financial support provided by the Lions Club of Warragul. Warragul North Primary School has had a number of families who have been struggling for different reasons during these difficult times which has impacted on the children’s wellbeing. Warragul North Primary School Principal, Corinne Collins, said that with winter upon us this assistance from t...he Warragul Lions Club will have an immediate and positive impact on the students and their families. We will be able to ensure students are warmly clothed and fed at school this year. We will also be able to assist students attend future excursions and camps. A cheque for $4,500 was presented by Warragul Lions President Peter Hammond to the Warragul North Primary School Captains, Riley Eastwell and Brylie Earwicker and Principal Corinne Collins. Lions Club President, Peter Hammond, said that the Warragul Lions Club has had a long association with Warragul North Primary School. We are pleased that we can provide financial support to the school which will go towards helping students and families that are in need. While the current coronavirus restrictions have stopped school excursions for the time being, some of the support from the Lions Club will go towards enabling children from families in need to attend the school’s excursions and camps when they resume in the future. 08.01.2022 We're back. Great to be doing our thing once again at Bunnings Warragul after so long in lock-down. Well done to Captain Tom for organizing the sausage sizzle and ensuring the day went smoothly and we kept things spotlessly clean. Everyone contributed to the success of the day except, perhaps, Hayesy who thought he was one of the Bunnings Staff members and spent half the time carrying customer's purchases to their cars. The photo shows the morning shift team of John White, Brian Grist, Tom Nunan, Chris Kennedy and Jeff Tolley. David Hayes took the photo.

07.01.2022 Great to see this project taking shape.

07.01.2022 The Hover Jack has finally arrived. This is a joint project funded by Lions and Rotary. The local ambos are rapt as it will make their life so much easier. This device is basically an inflatable stretcher that allows the ambos to easily lift and move patients. More photos will come shortly.

04.01.2022 Welcome to our newly installed DG Graham

04.01.2022 Proud to be able to help Olivia's Place. You're doing a mighty fine job.

01.01.2022 Another success story from the Lions Clubs. Many Clubs, including our own here in Warragul, have been collecting used postage stamps which are sold and the funds used to provide mobility aids for disabled kids. Got any old stamp collections that have been gathering dust and haven't seen the light of day for years? Here's a great way to declutter and at the same time benefit someone less fortunate. Donate them to your local Lions Club.
