25.01.2022 Evening everyone We are edging closer to our AGM in September, so the committee thought it would be a great idea for us to familiarise you all with our roles, as they will all be open for nominations. To do this, I am going to be posting some short Q+A's from our members. You can also access the official descriptions in the files section of the Facebook group.... We hope that we will see many new faces joinining our committee to keep it up and running! The first Q+A is from Ashlee, who is our Enrolments Officer How long have I been on the committee? 3.5 years and a member of playgroup for 6.5 years What is my role? I answer any enrolment enquires on the Facebook page or emails, sign members up, liaise with playgroup Victoria to make sure our enrolment lists match what they have. Why did I join the committee? I joined the committee to help keep Warragul playgroup running and to try to help make positive changes to our space What do I enjoy most? Interacting with potential new members What would you say to anyone considering coming to the agm? Don’t be scared we are all friendly and all have kids in common

20.01.2022 Evening everyone! Tonight's Q + A is from our Secretary Aimi enjoy! How long have I been on the committee? ... I joined in February this year. What is my role? I’m the Secretary, so far my role has largely Involved taking minutes. Why did you join the Committee? I responded to a Facebook post saying playground may not be able to continue due to vacancy’s on the Committee. I’m relatively new to warragul and thought I could help and meet some new people. What do you enjoy most? Knowing that I’m able to contribute. Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive as I learn the ropes. What would you say to anyone coming to the AGM? It’s your opportunity to find out more, ask us any questions you might have. We’d all love to hear from you.

07.01.2022 Tonight's Q+A post is from our lovely President Amanda!

07.01.2022 Hi everyone, Our AGM is this Wednesday the 2nd of September at 7:30pm. We are still waiting for a member from each session to let us know they will be attending. All positions will be vacant. Please remember that without volunteers to fill these positions, our wonderful Playgroup will not be able to run. Please message either myself or another committee member today to let us know who from your session is attending. We will then pass on our virtual meeting details tomorrow.... Today's Q + A is from our Purchasing Officer, Ashleigh! How long have I been on the committee? I joined early this year. What is my role? I’m the Fundraising/Purchasing Officer. Fundraising is self explanatory- come up with fundraising ideas and try and execute them to raise money to make our playgroup even better! Purchasing Officer means I ensure that we always have enough supplies such as tea and coffee, and arts and crafts etc. Why did you join the Committee? I was concerned about the future of our playgroup, as the committee was struggling to fill roles and I thought I could help in some way. What do you enjoy most? Knowing that I’ am contributing to the operations of the playgroup that we know and love! I have also really enjoyed working alongside other members on the committee, some who I did not know previously. What would you say to anyone coming to the AGM? It would be great to have some input from our members, so that we can work on doing and being better, for all present and future members.

03.01.2022 Evening everyone, tonight we have a Q+A from our Treasurer, Chris! How long have I been on the Committee? I joined the committee almost a year ago.... What is my role? Being the Treasurer you are pretty much just keeping an eye on the dollars and cents. You might look into some ways that the Playgroup could save some money by looking for a better deal, or chase up a weird looking invoice, but really its about recording and allocating money in and out. Nothing too tricky. Why did I join the Committee? I'm a stay at home Dad who has come out of a fairly busy and involved role in a medium sized business. I saw this as something I could do to use that side of my brain, while having a bit of input and involvement in the running of the playgroup. What do I enjoy most? I like to look at problems and look for solutions. It's not the most intricate operation, but its really good to find ways to improve the Playgroup experience for the kids, and for the parents (because it's not only about the little ones!). The committee members are a really good bunch who are great to work with. What would you say to anyone considering coming to the AGM? The AGM is your chance to see how the decisions get made, where the money comes from and where it goes. It's kind of like being in a management meeting, but you get to have your input too...
