23.01.2022 - 2021 Coaching Warringah Rugby Club have several coaching positions available including Colts head coach as we will see Losi move on to take up new challenges and opportunities. Losi not only contributed greatly to our Colts program but was also a great contributor on the paddock. We wish him well for the future.... After an incredible difficult first year as head coach for the club not just on the paddock but off, it’s with great pleasure that we announce Mike Ruthven will be staying on for the 2021 season. Mike and his coaching team have dealt with some incredible complex issues throughout our Covid impacted season. We might not have seen the results go our way, but we are very well placed for 2021 with plenty of fantastic emerging talent across all grades. 04.01.2022 The Farewell Round There could not have been a better way for 4 Legends to finish their careers on Saturday. Dave No.15 on my back, No.1 in your Hearts Feltscheer had a massive win in 3rd Grade that nearly saw them slip into the Top 4. 1st Grade followed up with an incredible win over 2nd placed Norths ensuring Robert Kelly, Josh Holmes and Sam Ward also finished their stellar careers with a fantastic victory. ... Warringah Rugby Club would also like to make special mention and pass on a sincere thank you to Norths’ Captain, Max Burey, who spoke so wonderfully and on behalf of their great Club, made a presentation to the boys. We wish them well in bringing the Shute Shield back to the North side of the Harbour where it belongs!! WRC has shown this season that we have a wonderful young talent pool that will no doubt take the Club back to the top of the ladder. The Farewell Tour is the Club’s final 2020 home game on Saturday 10 October 2020 and potentially the last time 4-incredible Warringah Rugby Club players run onto Rat Park.... It is a great opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate their amazing careers. The round dubbed The Farewell Tour sees the retirement of our 2017 Grand Final Captain Sam Ward, recent 200-gamer and Club text record holder, Josh Holmes, No.15 on your back No. 1 in your Hearts" Dave Feltscheer, and the incredibly popular and tough as teak, Robert Bert Kelly. Between them on that day they will have played over 780-games for WRC. We all owe them a significant debt of gratitude and on Saturday 10 October 2020 Rat Park should be heaving at the seams to say a final thank you. At the conclusion of the match, a celebration of their careers and a presentation to each of them will be made.
