22.01.2022 TO OUR VALUED PEOPLE: As many of you are aware we are expecting the outcomes from the Safer Care Victoria review into chiropractic care for children very soon. ...We know that there is a lot of concern among our parents about their ability to access chiropractic care for their children in the future. There are starting to be some bits of information coming through and at this stage it looks very positive, including that the premier insurer for chiropractors in Australia was asked to hand down a report about any cases that they have had to defend where a claim has been made against a chiropractor injuring a child over the past 21 years. They have reported ZERO cases. To put that in perspective, there are about 30,000 visits per week to chiropractors by children under 12 years of age. We will wait to see the review and not preempt the findings. We will make this available to you in the full entirety that it is given to us. Of course given that the release of this review is imminent, Sunday Night is again running their 'chiropractic care is so dangerous for kids' story, given that this is likely to be the last hurrah of the medical alarmists. Please feel free to watch it, don't take it personally or to heart. We try and see it for what it is, and course if you want to be healthy please don't take your health advice from Sunday Night or shows with similar journalistic standards. We are doing everything we can to put the health of our practice members and the public in front of the politics of health care as we believe this is how it should be. We are looking forward to closing this chapter and getting on with providing great care to our families.
