25.01.2022 'The good old days'. These photos were sent to us from the son of Peter O'Sullivan the owner of the Palais. It is believed that the band was Ross Lewis's band. Your knowledge and stories of these times would be great to understand and follow.

19.01.2022 The Friends of Warrnambool Botanic Gardens put many volunteer hours and raised $'s into these magnificent gardens. To have an opportunistic person feel they have a right to take these valuable ferns which belong to the citizens of Warrnambool is heart breaking.

11.01.2022 WELCOME TO WARRNAMBOOL - 1947 STYLE! There's nothing like a grand archway to say welcome as you drive into a town, but what do you make of these arches which ...greeted people driving into Warrnambool in 1947? The arches were erected at the entrances to the city during Warrnambool's centenary celebrations, and were located nearest the local industry they represented. The four were the Kraft arch on Raglan Parade East, the Nestle arch on Raglan Parade West, the Antarctic Ice arch (which was supposed to look like milk bottles or milk cans) on Mortlake Rd, and the Woollen Mill arch on Timor St. If we were to repeat the exercise today, what industries would be represented and where should the arches be?! 11.01.2022 The Shandon Drive-in theater, cnr Rooneys Rd & Princes Highway Did you attend the gala opening on the 19th December 1956, if so do you remember what was showing. The drive-in closed on 3rd Feb 1986. How times have changed, smoking was encouraged.
