19.01.2022 Thank you, we really enjoyed the show, the children learned new information and got to see so many wonderful gemstones, they all especially loved the Whites lucky gem mind, defiantly one of the weekends hi-lights for them!

15.01.2022 This afternoon some of the Club members rallied to erect the sign outside the Warrnambool Primary School Hall. Check it out if you are passing through. A special thanks to Steve H. for scaling the heights of the ladder.

15.01.2022 Getting to the end of the info, I have on Traders. A few more to go, but this one looks very interesting. Sorry no pics., but there are links you can follow: Yvonne and Ed Richard of Pristine Minerals in Point Cook, Victoria travel the world (here at St. Marie aux Mines), to acquire minerals to bring to the Australian collector market as well as sell on-line (mostly via Pristine Minerals on Facebook). Ed has built up an extensive network of local collectors he deals with re...gularly in countries like the Ukraine, China, Namibia, Morocco, Mexico, India, Pakistan, U.S.A., Germany etc. He doesn't shy away from Australian minerals either and recently started marketing hundreds of specimens from an old collection of Broken Hill minerals of which he will bring a decent selection to the shows in 2020. A particular focus in recent years has been the rare minerals (often borates), from Inner Mongolia of which Ed has sold many to museums such as New Mexico Tech., The Smithsonian and the Melbourne Museum. 14.01.2022 Many thanks to our sponsors including the Capitol Cinema, Shanahan Electric Motors, Saputo Dairy Australia who help to make our Gem Show a success.

14.01.2022 What a range of traders we are having this year. Am looking forward to rummaging through these slabs: ROOS ROCKS AND CLOCKS I make all my items and dig my own rocks. 100% Aussie made and rocks.

12.01.2022 Another of our traders for this weekend, Sue Watson has a range of opal product, cut polished and set from the rough, by her husband Joe. This includes boulder opal from Western Queensland, opal from Grawin N.S.W, and matrix opal from Andamooka S.Australia. The opal is both loose and set. In addition she has a selection of turquoise, garnet, sapphire, topaz and chrysoprase from Queensland as loose stone. Also on offer is an assortment of jewellery items priced to suit all.

11.01.2022 We are finally allowed to reopen the Club rooms again. So this Saturday we will be operating from 1 - 3 pm. We still have to limit numbers, so members need to notify me if they are attending. Anyone who would like to become a member, just pop in, I'm sure we can safely manage it. Also, masks will be mandatory in the Club rooms until State rules have changed.

10.01.2022 Heaps of people came through our doors today. Some early pics as we opened. We open at 9 again tomorrow.

09.01.2022 Another of our traders is Bruce Whittaker. Bruce specialises in beautifully cut and polished Agates, Gypsum Specimens, and a wide range of Specimens from the Broken Hill area.

04.01.2022 Berjique jewellery will be returning again this weekend with affordable sterling jewellery, beaded elastic bracelets, Coober Pedy and boulder opals, chrysoprase, pink opal, stunning pearl jewellery, fragrant sandalwood bracelets, lava stone jewellery and more...... Siobhan is more known for her work using polymer clay but has a background in beading, a passion for gem stones and a love of pearls. Pictured are just a taste of some Australian gems that she has cut herself. Her style is simplicity and elegance when it comes to gemstone jewellery, preferring to let the stone or pearl shine on its own.

02.01.2022 We are slowly starting to reopen. Our first session was last Saturday, booking required as we are limiting our numbers. It was good to see some activity happening again.
