22.01.2022 Very proud of our U15 rugby union debutant, Reagan McMillan, who was chosen to represent Downs Rugby at the Noosa 7s carnival last weekend. Reagan went from strength to strength this season in the Youth Girls’ 7s season for the Rats. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this superstar #UpTheRats
21.01.2022 Happy New Year from everyone at the Warwick Rugby Union Club! 2020 was a crazy year for our community with one of the worst droughts in living history, devastating bushfires and COVID-19 locking down the world. In classic rugby style though, we persevered through all of the setbacks and had one of our best years yet as a club! Our Senior Men paid our friends down at Helensvale Hogs Rugby Union Club a visit at the Gold in March before everything shut down. We had a great day ...Continue reading

16.01.2022 General Meeting at the clubhouse tomorrow night (8 December) at 6PM.
16.01.2022 Our Movember Australia team has raised $3,828 for men’s health! Well done to Vice-President Joseph Levick, Treasurer and Prop Dean Cullen, Resident Exercise Physiologist and Back Rower Harrison Marshall, Media Manager Alastair Costello and Secretary Tess Enchelmaier for a job well done! An especially large well done to Alastair who was our largest fundraiser, raising $2,523 for Movember. Thank you to all those who donated. Movember funds projects to help men’s mental health, testicular cancer and prostate cancer awareness and research. They are all things that we take pretty seriously out here in Warwick. Our club has accredited Mental Health First Aiders and if you ever need a hand, we are always here to help. #UpTheRats #rugbyfamily
16.01.2022 We are B Grade Champions for the first time in history! An amazing Sullivan combination in the first half set up our lead and Jordyn Hogden sealed the victory with his solo try in the dying stages. The defence of our line was nothing short of incredible. Inspired by the passion and desire of Jim Doyle and Dusty Elsom, the Rats put together a team effort worthy of capping an undefeated season. Cheered on by a black and white army in our corner we couldn’t be more proud to repr...esent Warwick and everyone who has worked to make this club great again. The blokes on the field couldn’t have done it without all of you. Thank you so much for your support. Being together from our clubhouse to the Clive Berghofer in Toowoomba made such a difference so we thank Crisps Coaches for providing our transport. Also, thank you to Karen and the team at Warwick Screenprinting and Embroidery for providing over 100 supporter shirts for this massive occasion. Up the Rats! #yearoftherat JimmyA_Photography

07.01.2022 FRIDAY NIGHT PLAYER PROFILE Joe Fuimaono Joe has been a Rats’ superstar since joining the club at the start of the season. He’s a wrecking ball of power out in the centres, blasting through defenders and making breaks with ease but also creating space for others with quick, intelligent passing. Joey brings joy to the club and is always keen to have a yarn and a laugh with anyone he meets. But on the field he’s all business and we can’t wait to see him take the field for the ...Rat’s in the Grand Final tomorrow! Home town: Auckland New Zealand Other clubs/schools you’ve played for: I’ve never played rugby but I’ve played league for: Blacktown Workers (SYD), Otahuhu Leopards (NZ), Warwick Cowboys, Toowoomba Clydesdales What effect has footy had on your life: A lot of man crushes Favourite thing to do on a rugby field: Rest and catch my breath What have you enjoyed most about being a Rat this season: Drawing on a players face when they pass out from a ‘drink for drink’ session with me Greatest footy moment: It hasn’t happened yet but it’ll be getting Roscoe over the line in the Grand Final. Greatest thing you’ve seen during a night at the Rats clubhouse: There’s a couple, court session for sure. Along with seeing the smiles and happiness on the boys and supporters faces after every game with how well we are going as a team this year. Which Water Rat inspires you to want to be a better player: Inspiration comes from a lot of different players in the team in their own way. When I see players like Potter, Maxi, Jackson or Benny make big tackles or get hit. When I see our forward pack dominate the scrums. When I see our big boys in the engine room working hard even though they are tired. The sight of Kai, Paul and Matty making and breaking tackles with ease. Seeing our Cap Fearby lead by example. When I see leaguers like Cody, Phil, Jordyn and Tyrell ripping it up no matter where they play. When our little fullback gets owned and still gets up. But the most important inspiration comes from the sideline cheering us on. Our team inside the team. Mark Sullivan, Andrew Williams, Guy Sudgen, Alastair Costello, Tess Enchelmaier, Dean Cullen, BIG Joe Levick, Tiff Cullen, Hayley and Al Blyton, Anthony Bannister, Vladimir Savovski and last but certainly not least, our supporters.
