17.01.2022 Congratulations to Year 10 students Hai Anh and Jagriti who have both been selected to attend Curtin University’s Focus on Mining Camp over the January school holidays. This five day experience, conducted by the WA School of Mines, will introduce participants from across WA to the mining industry and all that it has to offer. During the camp, which is based in Kalgoorlie, students will tour operational mine sites and participate in hands-on workshops. #warwicksteam | #warwickthentheworld | #creatingpositivefutures

16.01.2022 Our incoming 2021 Student Council took part in a Leadership and Planning Day today, with our House Captains joining the group for part of the day. Thanks to special guests, former students Alana Dooley and April Htun, for joining us to speak about their leadership experiences. Thanks also to the 2020 Year 11 students who joined us despite having finished school for the year! There were some fabulous ideas and engagement in planning for next year, and some fun team games to demonstrate essential aspects of group dynamics and leadership. We can't wait to see what the Student Council will do!

15.01.2022 Another successful transition event held at Warwick. The Year 6 students appeared to have a wonderful time and enjoyed all of the activities in their classes. The new Year 7 area was also set up with a plenty of games and equipment. We look forward to meeting the parents at tonight’s Year 6 information event. See you soon.

15.01.2022 Year 10 Media students were out and about last week, finalising their short film projects after weeks of story boarding and planning. Students used the grounds of the school as their backdrop and we can’t wait to see their final creations. #warwicksteam | #warwickcreates

09.01.2022 Warwick SHS engages with a number of outreach organisations to support Indigenous secondary students to reach their potential and explore pathways towards tertiary studies, further training, and employment. It has been both a busy and exciting last few weeks as the following activities testify: Year 8 students Jannika and Luvata gained selection to attend the UWA Discovery Day, introducing students to the university environment through a range of hands-on activities at differ...ent study areas on campus. Year 7-8 Creating the Dream students Luvata, Rueben, Brandan, Sharniel, Etty, Lashante and Ozyfa participated in an overnight camp at St Catherine’s College (UWA). Students enjoyed a series of challenge and cultural activities. Year 9-10 Creating/Follow the Dream students Jamie, Ollie, Angus, Hayden, Trent, Jamahl, Brodie, Charlize and Corey travelled to Dwellingup for a 3 day camp where the focus was on personal challenge, teamwork and goal setting. Congratulations to all Warwick students who said a big ‘yes’ to new opportunities! None of this would be possible without the ongoing support of the Follow the Dream Outreach Program, the Graham Polly Farmer Foundation and the UWA School of Indigenous Studies #aspirelearngrow #warwickthentheworld #alwayswasalwayswillbe

06.01.2022 Today sees the second Year 6 transition event, and what a fantastic turn out. The students will have an action packed day visiting HASS, Media, PE, Maths and also run around the school participating in a mapping orienteering activity! Lots of fun ahead.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to Year 11 student Darcy on his selection to attend the National Indigenous Business Summer School, hosted by Curtin University, in January 2021. NIBSS is an exciting program for Indigenous students entering Years 11 and 12 who are thinking about studying in the world of business, becoming an entrepreneur, owning a business and curious about studying at the University. 04.01.2022 Warwick P&C will be holding a bake sale tomorrow (Wednesday 25 November 2020) to raise some funds. If you would like to help and donate some cakes (fake it or bake it), we would appreciate your support. If you would like to participate, please can hand in your baked goodies to the front office in the morning.

02.01.2022 Over the last few weeks, Mr Johnson our HOLA of Science, has been running incursion / excursion events with Year 5 students from some of our feeder primary schools. This has been a fantastic introduction to Warwick Senior High School, and lets the students see the facilities and grounds on offer to them as they near high school themselves.

01.01.2022 The Warwick Senior High School P&C ran a very successful cake stall at today’s Year 6 transition event. There were cakes, biscuits, lollies and more on offer. Thank you to the three lovely parent volunteers for their efforts and assistance and thank you to everyone for your very generous baked goods donations.
