15.01.2022 Lest we forget... 100 years on we remember those who gave their all.

13.01.2022 On Armistice Day 2018 as we bowed our heads, a Vietnam War Cessna flew over and released thousands of paper poppies. Members of the War Widows' Guild SA had been given the opportunity to write names of family members and loved ones onto the back of the blood red poppies to be released. It is quite sobering to reflect that the 30,000+ poppies dropped is only a small fraction of the more than 16 million people who died during World War I.

10.01.2022 The Australasian Soldiers Dardanelles Cenotaph has been re-dedicated in its new position on Kintore Avenue. It is now situated at the end of the Memorial Walk facing towards North Terrace and the Cross of Sacrifice. The memorial holds special significance for the War Widows' Guild as a place dedicated to mourning and it was erected through the efforts of the mothers and widows in 1915, long before the true cost of the war in lives was known. Pictured also is War Widows' Guild SA President Mrs Milham and Past President Mrs Fergusson placing a wreath in commemoration.
