12.01.2022 Connecting the local community! As part of the cycle way network for Watagan Park, Johnson Property Group is delivering a new pedestrian bridge in Cooranbong. With construction well underway we look forward to seeing it complete and locals being able to use it to walk and ride.

12.01.2022 Johnson Property Group are pleased to have commenced earthworks on the new Cooranbong Park Recreation Facility, with works anticipated to be completed in mid 2021. These works are part of our ongoing commitment to Lake Macquarie City Council to deliver new community infrastructure in line with our housing release stages in Watagan Park. This stage of works will see delivery of 2 sports fields, lighting to 1 field, a 550sqm amenities building with 4 sets of change rooms, kios...k & multi-purpose room, 65 space carpark, new entry road and landscaping. The next stage of these works includes an expansion and upgrade to the existing playground fronting Freemans Drive. JPG are working with Council to provide improved community amenities with Council contributing funds that were earmarked for the existing playground’s upgrade in 2021/2022. In working together with Council, JPG will deliver an enhanced playground facility, with replacement of the existing equipment, plus construction of an additional nature-based playground area with a variety of equipment for a wider age group of children. The playground design has been developed with two potential play tower options which we now seek the community’s feedback on. Option 1 Moduplay Skytower play structure Whirl Basket Swing Double Swing Accessible Spinner Option 2 Lapsset M Centre play structure Whirl Basket Swing Double Swing Accessible Spinner Both options provide an increased level of play equipment including provision for equitable access play for mobility challenged users. The nature-based play extension to the playground is still under design development and will also incorporate a public art element. We invite your suggestions as to elements that could be incorporated here. Johnson Property Group and Council are looking forward to the completion of these works and seeing an overall improved amenity for the Cooranbong community. 03.01.2022 Connecting the local community. You may have noticed work recently underway in Cooranbong with the shared pedestrian / cycleway bridge being constructed over Dora Creek. This is being carried out by Johnson Property Group as part of our council approvals, so the whole community can start to benefit from improved community infrastructure in our local area sooner. Additional work is imminent with the Cooranbong Park Recreation Facility scheduled to commence this month, star...ting with the bulk earthworks. JPG will be constructing 2 multi-code football fields, a 550 square metre amenities building with kiosk, multipurpose room, storage and change room facilities, a 65 space car park and associated landscaping works. This will be followed by an upgrade to the playground facility and parking on Freemans Drive. Two multi-purpose courts (netball / basketball) will follow at a later date. See more
