24.01.2022 A beautiful Verge Fuseé striking clock from around the late 1700s in for service, (after photos and some during; I was lazy with the photos) but not its keeping time to about 2 minutes a week and Ill regulate it further. This is a lovely example of a verge and has been serviced many time over the years a central seconds hand is unusual also. Mother of pear inlay, engraved and porcelain dial. Its a real stunner, the glass was original also, I had to replace the vent covers... which were previously covered with tissue paper that was breaking down and fading, so now its got a lovely striking red fabric. 23.01.2022 Major repair of a Dogma Prima gents chrono from the 50s with a Landeron 148 movement, missing so many parts and not working. Missing about 4 levers and the chrono driving wheel along with many screws that were wrong this watch also had shattered lower balance jewel and missing hands, the hairspring needed to be re coiled also! But after all this I have the movement running well and looking back to its best.

I saved the minute hand straightened and re lumed using heat and a few tricks, a full service on the movement and new mainspring, crown and case tube supplied and replaced, and I managed to get a lot of dirt off the dial. 02.01.2022 A lovely Elgin pocket watch with Made in U.S.A proudly printed on the dial, this is a very loved family heirloom that came in not running, missing a bezel and glass, a few teeth missing on the ratchet wheel and a missing sub seconds hand along with a broken case lid.
