25.01.2022 This client wanted their old pool area revamped with the use of Tuscan Blue Limestone. We utilised an Ashlar pattern in the laying, which costs a little more than laying standard 400x400 tiles due to all the cutting, but the final look is quite stunning. A hidden drain was installed parallel to the house, halfway between house and pool, to look after stormwater runoff. (see if you can spot it?!)

23.01.2022 2 men and a few days of sunshine and the project is really taking shape. nice work Logan Poppelwell and Jake Mcghee

22.01.2022 As per usual, I must apologise for my tardiness in updating this page... (Is anybody interested in a position in Marketing & IT @ WMC?) We have finally started the long awaited Ransome job. (Thanks to the council for the delays!) 12m x 7m pool + wet-bar to the left side of photo.... Daniel and I pulled-up today after 5 days working on the formwork + steel, and should have 1.5 days of work left to get this monster ready for concrete - not bad for two men.

21.01.2022 all aspects of this project were built and finished by Logan Poppelwell and Jake Mcghee

19.01.2022 Apologies for being so slack with updates to this page... I will post some pics of recent projects over the next few days. In the meantime here is a shot of my current steel fixing job at The Gap;... - 15.0m lap pool x 4.4m at widest point - Built totally above ground level. - Jake and I have installed over 2 kilometres of steel in this monster.

18.01.2022 This Client required a total solution for the empty space in their front yard. Once the overhead powerlines had been moved out of the proposed pool area, we rolled ahead with the installation of a family friendly 7x4 concrete pool, surround paved areas, feature wall, and new boundary fence. The client chose Black Granite to be used throughout, which could get hot underfoot, but I guess thats no problem if you are planning to spend your time IN the pool rather than beside it!

17.01.2022 This client had their pool-shell built in conjunction with their house-build approx 6 years ago - WMC were contracted to complete the finishes and plumbing fit-out.

14.01.2022 I have been slack again in updating this page! We are currently pushing two BIG jobs to completion, and I will have photos to post in a week or so. These jobs have occupied Jake and I for the last 8 weeks, hence the lack of updates!... In the meantime I have posted a photo of a small landscaping job we did in Hawthorne a few months back. (apologies for the poor photo quality) The clients investment townhouse had a problem in the back yard in that grass could not grow due to tree coverage, and the tenants wanted an alfresco area. We also had a VERY tight budget to work with. Once the tree's had been knocked back Jake and I installed a concrete slab, with pavers and an ornamental timber trim for the alfresco. A more suitable turf variety was laid, and a path of stepping stones and decorative gravel complete the job. Not bad for two men over two days, and the access was so tight I had to purchase a new wheelbarrow as a standard size barrow would not fit!

13.01.2022 watch this space. New WMC website launching tomorrow

06.01.2022 Finished this job in Wooloowin today - Pool, surrounds, pool fence, entire property boundary fence, all electrical work, and one of my 'easy access' filtration sheds. Job start: 22nd July 2014 Job completion: 27th August 2014

05.01.2022 The new member of the WMC crew, Daniel, is working out very well. Although he can't seem to distinguish between his daytime job at WMC and his night-time job at 'Wild Boys Afloat'.

02.01.2022 Daniel and I have been back into it for a week now after the xmas break.... 130m2 of concrete surround was poured prior to the xmas break (including conduits for 28 Multicolour LED uplights - controllable via the clients iPhone), installation of Arizona Travertine coping, and Diamond Almaz waterline tile to the pool. All plumbing lines have been run and a dedicated electrical sub-board installed at the filtration station.... This last week was spent finalising the waterline tile, tiling the bar-stools, grouting the tiling and making a good start on the step-edge tile. (All done with pesky showers interrupting us most days) The pavers for the surrounds are in the country and should land on site next week at some stage. In the meantime I am organising the cutting of a beautiful piece of polished Atlantic Granite to create the 4.4 metre long LED up-lit Bar top which will sit infront of the bar-stools to the left of the photo below.
