22.01.2022 To the surprise of a sales assistant, I paid for something in cash today (remember that?) and in my change was this shiny Donation Dollar. The idea behind the Australian Mint's creation is to remind us to give this little coin away to someone or an organisation if we can. I played with the coin in the pocket of my coat (you read correctly, coats are out in Hobart) for a while until I found a money box collecting for a good cause and in it went.

21.01.2022 2020 wasn't what we planned and it was hard to know what to post because everyone is doing it tough. But with 2021, we are back on deck and posting again. A shout out to hope-suds who has chosen us as their charity to support this summer. Three ladies from Hobart make this beautiful soap by hand and all proceeds go to their charity of choice. And it's US! The soap is just lovely and in the spirit of their charity, it is even wrapped in recycled paper including calendars. Thanks hope-suds

18.01.2022 Hi everyone in our village - apologies for our absence from social media - it's been such a tough year that we have hunkered down and been busy doing stuff behind the scenes so that when our world gets back to something that resembles "normal" we'll be ready and rearing to go - to do more for others - like our dear little friend in Chewber.

18.01.2022 Great gifts by great people for a great cause- winners all round!

16.01.2022 Water for a Village will be holding its AGM on December 10 at 6pm via Zoom or at 144 Macquarie Street, Hobart. If you would like an Agenda or would like to attend, please contact [email protected]

12.01.2022 I spent the most beautiful morning with the ladies from hope-suds yesterday. It was wonderful to meet such amazing people who find the time to work together on a hobby that they then use to support charitable organisations like WFAV. And it's fabulous that they have found a great way to actively assist women and girls on the other side of the world who need some help to get clean water and a better life. From left to right in the bottom photo is me, Susanna, Eve and Louisa and in the top photo is Tilly - thank you so much for your generosity - and for your time and a cuppa in the sun.
