24.01.2022 Hello everyone The raspberries have slowly started to ripen and the blackberries are not far away either. We won’t be opening this weekend as we don’t want to disappoint people. The mild start to summer has meant a later start to the season but we have some nice sunny days coming up which will help ripen the berries. At this stage we will open early to mid next week for raspberries and hopefully some small amounts of blackberries. As much as we are also anxious to open it’s all up to the fruit and weather. Hope to see you all soon

22.01.2022 What a beautiful sight while picking kiwi fruit on the farm. Sometimes it’s nice to just stop for a moment and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.

21.01.2022 Hello Everyone We have had a few busy days and unfortunately we do not have many raspberries on the vines at the moment that are ripe. We advise calling or messaging us prior to coming out as we do not wish to disappoint. Apologies for any inconvenience. Waterwheel Orchards

20.01.2022 Good evening everyone It has been a great and very busy weekend but due to the slow ripening and late season we would advise if people can wait till Boxing Day or after to visit as we don’t want to disappoint. We will still remain open tomorrow 23/12 and Tuesday 24/12 but just beware not all the farm will be open for picking and we do not have large quantities of ripe fruit. Apologies for any inconvenience we can’t control Mother Nature.

15.01.2022 Hi Everyone Even though this rain has been awesome for the farm it has unfortunately slowed the ripening of the fruit. We have plenty of berries growing on the vine but the fruit has not ripened as yet. We won’t be opening this weekend as we don’t wish to disappoint all of our wonderful customers. We hope to open some stage next week or weekend. Sorry again for the delay look forward to seeing you all very soon...

10.01.2022 Hi Everyone We wish to advise that due to the weather we have had this year the berries have sadly not come on as good as previously. Due to this and that most varieties have slowly come to an end we will be closing the berry farm for pick your own as of today. We still are happy for people to message us for pre picked berries if we have them available. We also have frozen berries and jam for sale through the year but please ring or message prior to picking up. We would love to thank everyone one who has come out to support us this season even though it has been a tough one. We look forward to improving more for the next season and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
