23.01.2022 Kinder’s Tinker Table This is what tinkering, making, and engineering look like in early childhood. Children initially use their senses to explore the physical properties of materials. They tinker as they take things apart, put things together, figure out how things work, and attempt to build and make creations using tools. #tinkertable #earlylearning #youngminds #watsoniaearlylearning

15.01.2022 Today for science week the children worked as a group to make their own kinetic sand, using sand, oil and cornflour. Kinetic sand stays together, allowing the children to easily mold it into a variety of different shapes. Kinetic means togetherness due to movement and energy. The children experienced this first hand by making round balls in their hands that would stay together due to the force applied by their hands. The children would then crumble it up back to the origi...nal sand texture, and repeat the process again. #kineticsand #scienceweek #earlychildhoodeducation
