22.01.2022 We love it when we’re able to unite jobseekers with meaningful and lasting employment opportunities. Jenny from WDEA Works Mt Gambier has been able to create this connection between WDEA Works jobseeker Mark and Michael & Kate at Cabinets by Michael, resulting in a wonderful outcome. They (WDEA Works) really listen to your needs and interests and then go about trying to find employment that will not only suit your needs but will also be enjoyable and rewarding said Mark... He’s one of the hardest working people I’ve met. It’s given us great pleasure in knowing that he now has a sense of belonging in a team, a purpose and a role in our business. He’s polite, friendly and takes pride in each and every task that he does, we look forward to watching him gain more experience and grow his confidence. 22.01.2022 R U OK? This is the conversation we’re having at WDEA Works today. 2020 has been tough, so today we’re taking a little extra time to ask R U OK? ... To encourage connection and conversation between staff members we updated our virtual backgrounds and had a ‘Chit Chat with a Kit-Kat’. We’ve dressed up & worn R U OK t-shirts, organised activities, enjoyed baked goods and delivered R U OK packs. Remember it’s ok not to be ok. If someone you know is not ok, you can follow these 4 steps to provide support 1. Ask, R U OK? 2. Take time listen 3. Encourage them to take action or find support 4. Check In regularly to see how they’re doing If you or someone you know need additional support please view the comprehensive resources on the R U OK Website. https://www.ruok.org.au/findhelp
