23.01.2022 Well it’s that kind of year, Ipswich have pulled out of the comp and we are down to only 3 teams. Trying to get their past west’s boys down to us to play. This week we will play 10s v each other at the Kennel at 1.30 Kick off .... be there at 1pm. Next week round robin 10s v Souths and Bank.... We after not sure but let’s deal with Sunday. Let me know if in or out ?

20.01.2022 Good morning all, What a crazy season, and thanks to all the players and parents for your patience and support in these Covid times. All season 1 and 2 players welcome ..... This Wednesday is our last training run against WMAC (West Moreton Anglican College) from 6 7.. Then team photo (please be in wests socks, west shorts ) then team dinner from 7.30 byo $20 for dinner. Parents / guests welcome !! It was nice to finish my coaching career on Sunday with a draw against souths and a win against Sunnybank in the 10s comp. Michael, Duncan and I are really keen to see what players want to do next year, whether staying back in Junior Colts Sunday rugby in 2021 with new coaches, or moving up to Colts playing Saturdays. We will support you all with introductions to coaches and preseason regimes moving forward. Please rsvp by return email ([email protected]) if coming down ?

20.01.2022 These young men have come such a long way this year, AIC and GPS school commitments, crazy new strict coaches, tackling with shoulders, no players, too many players, laughter, European players, new team mates, injuries, fights, illegal tackles, team songs, enforced culture and pride. 12.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID-19 In support of the nationwide effort to reduce the overall impact of COVID-19 on our health system, the Brisbane J...unior Rugby Union have made the decision to postpone all Term One Junior Club Rugby Competitions (specifically, the Junior Colts Lightning XVs and 10s Junior Girls), and cancel all Junior Club Rugby trial matches and training, effective immediately through to May the 1st, 2020. This applies to ALL Brisbane Junior Rugby Union Member Clubs, Satellite Clubs & Affiliates, players and volunteers. It is important to note, any training undertaken during this period, will not be covered under the Rugby National Risk Management & Insurance Programme. The Brisbane Junior Rugby Union will be in ongoing discussions with Queensland Rugby Union to ensure we are proactive in evaluating our position with regards to COVID-19 developments over the coming weeks, providing updates where necessary. We appreciate your cooperation and support in ensuring we return to a healthy and vibrant rugby community.

12.01.2022 Good evening everyone, unfortunately we saved our worst first half for yesterdays game but came home strong only to lose 24-12. Unfortunately looks like we have lost Charlie our half back due to injury ..... And sadly Tom has headed home to Italy after a great cameo for the Dogs and we wish him well in all his endeavours.... ... Please make sure your son is at training this Wednesday and next as we must win both games to make the GF !!

11.01.2022 Rightio, almost at the end of the season, and here is what is left in a 3 team covid stricken comp. Wednesday 26/8 - training tonight 6.15 pm as usual, will we get more than 10 ?? Sunday 30/8 - we play a Rugby 10s match (10 a side / 10 Minute halves) v Sunnybank at Souths at 11.10 kick off... Then a rugby 10s game v Souths at 11.35 at Souths. Wednesday 2/9 - team photo, team dinner, team awards. $20 each. Hope to see everyone Sunday injured or not to support our last games and next week for final gathering.

01.01.2022 TRADE START: Trade Start is open to school leavers and runs for approx. 8-12 weeks including 4 weeks of work placement. Participants gain their White Card, Cert 1 in Construction upon completion, we have a high success rate of transitioning participants into employment. This is fully funded by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ). TRADE READY: Again aimed at school leavers, Trade Ready is a short 6 week program aimed at those with previous experience or a previously completed... Cert 1 in Construction. This is fully funded by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ). READY 4 CONSTRUCTION (R4C): R4C is a school program aimed at Year 11 and 12 students funded by the government VET in Schools (VETiS). All programs are delivered on live construction sites!
