20.01.2022 MEET OUR DESIGNER OF THE WEEK: STEPHANIE MUNRO "My name is Stephanie Munro and I am the designer of ‘Just Breathe’. I was lucky enough to win the Avant Garde category at the 2019 WAM. I am a relative newcomer to the wearable art scene. In fact, this was my first time entering. I have always loved to dabble in Millinery and thought I could take these skills to the next level. I had in the past been to several WAM performances, each year the designs and the show have gone fro...m strength to strength. I finally decided that I would summon up the courage to enter a piece of my own. My design took 9 months to make and basically evolved during that time. I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the process and was a little sad when it was finished. I love the freedom that wearable art allows you. There are no right or wrongs and.....well its just so much fun. Looking forward to 2021 when we can once again showcase our art." ~ Stephanie Munro on her background and love of Wearable Art : Just Breathe by Stephanie Munro, Photographed by Stephen Heath #mandurah #wearableart #designeroftheweek

20.01.2022 Not only does Wearable Art Mandurah provide our designers the opportunity to create revolutionary works of art on the body, it is also a wonderful platform to raise awareness for causes our designers are passionate about. Mandurah twins, Kiana and Tyler Murphy have made a name for themselves in the world of wearable art, and are using their success in the modelling industry to shine a light on autism and raise awareness of mental health. We can't wait to see what the future ...holds for them. Shine on Kiana and Tyler!

18.01.2022 Meet one of our beloved artists, Lyn Blasgund. Lyn is retired, but still very much an active member in the community as a Justice of the Peace, seniors group Grants Writer and CWA member.
