19.01.2022 MARKET DAY AND POTENTIAL YOUTH MARKET During We Are Wollondilly’s Community Event 4th to 11th April 2021, Wollondilly Anglican Church will be holding a Market Day on Saturday 10th April; and is considering hosting a Youth Market during that week (depending on interest levels). Market Day Wollondilly Anglican Church recognises that businesses (including the smaller businesses that rely on markets for their exposure) have had a pretty rough year. Our original intention had bee...n to just support businesses affected by the 2019/20 bushfires, however, we have broadened our scope to invite ALL Wollondilly businesses to apply hold a stall. There will be NO fees to hold your stall. Youth Market This is an opportunity for students to showcase their skills. Students must either attend a Wollondilly school or home school group, or live in the Wollondilly and be studying outside of the area. Students may be studying at school, TAFE, University or other tertiary institution. We may ask for proof of enrolment. There will be NO fees to hold your stall. Stall holders may also choose to be considered for the general Market Day. Register your interest by completing and submitting the relevant form. 01.01.2022 OVER 55s HIGH TEA & DANCE I originally touted this as an Over 55s Rave I would be totally in to that in 5 and a bit years but, it seemed to put too many people off, so I toned it down a wee bit and now it is a High Tea and Dance for the Over 55s. Why? The question should be Why not? What we’re doing is really an anti-loneliness campaign A lot of our guests maybe don’t get out as much as they once did and don’t see friends as often. this provides a unique way to d...o both, while also being part of something that’s vibrant and exciting. Just because you reach a certain age, doesn’t mean you don’t want to have fun anymore. Dicky Eaton, vice.com Wollondilly Anglican Church recognises that people aged 70 are at high risk of serious illness from Covid and our Covid Safe Plan will pay special attention to this event. At the present time, restrictions also do not allow dancing, however we still intend to have a live band to listen to at the at the very least. A very big thank you to Wollondilly Shire Council for their generosity in supporting this event.
