23.01.2022 Just love the colour and fun in this photo of local Yvonne sporting an interesting cardie ... wonder if there's a story behind it?

22.01.2022 Local creative Luna Gardiner put together this fabulous Sea to Scarf yarn bomb bench cover for our verandah. Luna's work is always stunning and imaginative and this piece, from op shop scarves, is no exception. Pictured are the Bennett family of Scarborough who have been dropping in to Waroona Visitor Centre (Visit Waroona) ever since their children Emily and Will were small. It's always a delight to welcome them back and to know how much they value the authentic country experience of WA's regional areas and the service of local visitor centres.

22.01.2022 Great collaboration down in Albany WA between the oh-so-creative Purly Queens and the fabulous Emu Point Cafe to celebrate Ocean Day and to raise funds for the #seashepherd

19.01.2022 Source unknown but obviously a genius

13.01.2022 Check out these little munchkins all tied up with no place to go! According to mum Jenny, Otis, Max and Winnie had a ball creating this amazing web ... and it kept them entertained for hours! Way to go, mum!

13.01.2022 Meet Helen and Vicki, two very special people ... Helen is a charity knitter with Sunshine Tuesday Charity and Vicki is heading into aged care nursing. As YBW had an over-abundance (is there really even such a thing? ) of donated wool, and due to losing our storage area, it has been necessary to cull and cull hard. Our local charity knitters have taken what they can use and we’ve kept a full spectrum of colours and types (ooooh and some very special flavours indeed) for... projects and give-aways. But there was still so much left and we obviously wanted it to go to good use so enter Helen and enter Vicki’s car. The girls left here Helen with a grin from ear to ear and Vicki with a car packed to the brim with way more than three bags full. It’s now been a week and I’m sure Helen’s putting it all to good use - sure can’t wait to see some Project Pics!
