24.01.2022 June 19, 2019, saw Victoria pass one of the most controversial, sensitive and long-awaited bills ever. The Victorian Legislation of Voluntary Assisted Dying has been a long time coming, and while there are and always will be still people opposing the law, those that are behind it, have very poignant and raw experiences that nurse their opinions on the law. One such person is our very own Premier of Victoria, Daniel Andrews, like him or loathe him, his introduction to the bill... in parliament was heartfelt and unforgettable. Do you have your own personal story or opinions on assisted dying? And do you know what this actually means for Victorians now it’s introduced? #wcraustralia #dementia #mentalhealth #healthcare #agedcare #recruitment #careers #managedcare #dentalcare #employment #healthcarejobs #healthcareindustry #recruiterlife #valuesbasedrecruitment

22.01.2022 A Gold Coast Aged Care provider closed its doors abruptly and with horrific scenes following a damning June report from the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, the Commission heard in last week’s Brisbane hearings. The June 25 report showed 50 per cent of residents at Earle Haven were being physically restrained and 70 per cent ‘chemically’ restrained. While these are incredibly worrying figures, what’s just as concerning is the framework which allowed a centre to close ...in such a manner that left many distressed residents in the hands of emergency services because of the lack of consideration to their welfare. 21.01.2022 Today I want to talk about Mum’s who are returning to work and the unconscious biases that they face. The reason I feel it is important to talk about this topic is so we can become aware of this unconscious bias and eliminate it all together. #wcraustralia #dementia #mentalhealth #healthcare #agedcare #recruitment #careers #managedcare #dentalcare #employment #healthcarejobs #healthcareindustry #recruiterlife #valuesbasedrecruitment

17.01.2022 I know that this video may be confronting and I am sorry for that, but this is a topic that I am very passionate about and I believe it needs to be talked about so we can all reduce the impact that unconscious biases have on us and how we work. #wcraustralia #dementia #mentalhealth #healthcare #agedcare #recruitment #careers #managedcare #dentalcare #employment #healthcarejobs #healthcareindustry #recruiterlife #valuesbasedrecruitment #unconsciousbias

13.01.2022 Today I want to talk about unconscious biases towards older people. 11.01.2022 Unconscious Biases I know that this video may be confronting and I am sorry for that, but this is a topic that I am very passionate about and I believe it needs to be talked about so we can all reduce the impact that unconscious biases have on us and how we work. #wcraustralia #dementia #mentalhealth #healthcare #agedcare #recruitment #careers #managedcare #dentalcare #employment #healthcarejobs #healthcareindustry #recruiterlife #valuesbasedrecruitment

06.01.2022 Climate change will affect the Healthcare Industry probably more than any other sector in the future. With extreme weather conditions, rising sea levels and poorer air quality affecting our food systems globally, malnutrition is going to be just one of the effects of environmental degradation. Add to that the social and economic impacts and health will be the obvious thing to suffer. The irony is, the Healthcare sector is actually one of the largest contributors to the very c...arbon emissions that are speeding up these effects. A recent study showed the Healthcare sectors make up more than 7% of Australia’s total carbon emissions. And, compared to the US and the UK’s Healthcare sectors, ours is by far a worse offender. So, what can we do? Make some of our own change #wcraustralia #dementia #mentalhealth #healthcare #agedcare #recruitment #careers #managedcare #dentalcare #employment #healthcarejobs #healthcareindustry #recruiterlife #valuesbasedrecruitment

04.01.2022 Have you heard stories in the media about people changing their names to get jobs here in Australia? This happens a lot unfortunately and it is because of peoples unconscious bias towards foreign people.

03.01.2022 My Grandfather was recently admitted to an Aged Care Facility and was not very happy about it because he has lived on rural properties for most of his life and he hated the fact that he was cooped up. When my Grandfather was younger he was a plumber who owned his own plumbing business and when he moved in to his Aged Care Facility they were doing construction to build a new wing. One day the carer that was looking after my Grandfather took him outside and sat him near the con...struction so he could watch and talk to the tradies and he has told me on multiple occasions that this was the best day he has had in a long time. Small things make a huge difference to those in Aged Care and I want to thank that carer you are amazing! #wcraustralia #dementia #mentalhealth #healthcare #agedcare #recruitment #careers #managedcare #dentalcare #employment #healthcarejobs #healthcareindustry #recruiterlife #valuesbasedrecruitment
