21.01.2022 Support Cycle is a social contact and support service in Melbourne for anyone feeling isolated and in need of some physical and sometimes mental support in these uncertain times. WeCycle were able to provide bikes two bikes, helmets and locks for Support Cycle social workers Ginny and Brendan to enable them to get to clients while avoiding public transport during the Covid19 crisis. Well done team!

13.01.2022 WeCycle and other Melbourne bicycle recyclers including Dr Crankys, Back2Bikes and Bicycles for Humanity, collaborated to answer a call out from Reclink for about 40 bikes to help kids stay active. The Reclink National Program provides opportunities for social engagement through sport and recreation for people experiencing disadvantage. In partnership with more than 390 community organisations, Reclink Australia's programs create pathways to improved health and wellbeing, edu...cation and employment outcomes for all participants. They have several programs and were looking for bikes and sports equipment to keep people active in the pandemic crisis. 09.01.2022 WeCycle bike shed closed to members of the public under current corona virus conditions
07.01.2022 Hello! Just thought I would update our supporters, volunteers, donors and general community with some news. We are waiting to get the official go ahead from Darebin City Council but we hope to be able to open up the shed in Batman Park Northcote soon. There will be some new rules and restrictions that we have to implement so we don’t get fined from the Victoria Police. We love donations but will need to be sent a photo of the bike before we accept it as we have limited storag...e space due to the physical distance required to keep our volunteers safe. We are currently setting up rosters and systems so that we manage the flow more efficiently. We will not be able to take donations without an appointment. Hope everyone understands we are trying our best as volunteers who are passionate about bikes and helping people. Have a great weekend and enjoy the lovely weather for cycling See more
