Think about giving them a change of scenery for more light, or repotting them for a new lease on life. I think plants look fantastic indoors as well as out. But after a discussion on the weekend Im intrigued to know how many indoor plants you have? This photo tells me its totally reasonable to have one couch and four plants! Sound about right to you? #indoorplantlady #alsohavecushionaddiction #naturalairpurifier #weedingwomen #plantcheckup #indoorplants

20.01.2022 ROSES | Depending on when your roses were pruned, they will soon start pushing out new growth. This is a great time to give them a feed with a specialist rose fertiliser and lay a bed of mulch to retain water. If you need any help caring for your roses (or in fact, if they still need pruning!) dont forget, roses are one of our specialities! #rosepruning #newgrowth #fertilise #weedingwomen
20.01.2022 POTTED COLOUR | There are so many varieties of potted colour around at the moment. We spotted these gorgeous marigolds at our local nursery earlier this week. Perfect for adding a little extra sunshine to your garden. Quick tip instead of planting one pot why not try planting 3 or 5 in the one area. It’ll make a much bigger statement! #pottedcolour #potplants #whattoplant #springsunshine #weedingwomen #marigold

15.01.2022 BEES | You know we love our bees but this might be taking our passion a bit far! One of our team members was greeted by this enormous bee swarm in her driveway yesterday (apparently quite common in spring in WA). Swarming is a response to a lack of space in the hive and typically happens as spring nectar starts to flow and the hive needs to expand. A decision is made by the hive to take the Queen and her workers to a new, spacious home where they can maximise the nectar on offer. When a cluster of bees is seen hanging on a tree branch like this, they are NOT thinking of setting up home there! They are in transition, clustered around their Queen - waiting for the scout bees to find new accommodation. Oh to be queen bee hey! #bees #beeswarm #beecolony #beeswa #weedingwomen

If your mum would love a garden fairy to pop over to her house a Weeding Women gift voucher should be at the top of your list. You can purchase yours online here https://www.weedingwomen.com.au/gift-vouchers/ Thanks to our Fremantle franchisee, Silvio for the pic. His clients all agree, hes one of the best garden fairies in the business!
14.01.2022 WEEDS | After the rains subside, the last thing your plants need is competition for water and nutrients. Thats why its important to weed regularly so they dont get a chance to take hold. Once youve removed the weeds, add a layer of mulch. Itll deprive the weeds of the light they need to germinate and stop any airborne seeds from landing on your soil and taking root. One of the many benefits of being a regular Weeding Women client is we take care of all your garden maint...enance for you. Weeding, mulching, wetting agents, pruning we schedule and plan each visit to ensure your garden always looks its best. If youd like to know more you can request a call back from our office ladies or direct to our franchisees by calling 1800 24 74 84. #alwaysweeding #regularclient #weedingwomen #gardenmaintenance
13.01.2022 WATERING | As we prepare for the start of summer it’s worth remembering that for the majority of West Australians, watering days are limited to two per week. Remember, water is a precious resource so please only water early in the morning on your specified days. #wateringdays #summergardens #watering #weedingwomen

07.01.2022 ANZAC DAY | As we celebrate this very special day in our nations history we thought wed share a little fact about the Flanders Poppy (as it is now usually called). Did you know it grew profusely in the trenches and craters of the war zone? This same poppy also flowers in Turkey in early spring - as it did in April 1915 when the ANZACs landed at Gallipoli. Such a beautiful flower has become a true symbol of remembrance. #lestweforget #anzacday2020

06.01.2022 FERTILISE | This long weekend is a good time to get in the garden and boost your citrus trees with a serving of citrus fertiliser. You should also check for scale problems. Repeat as necessary. I hope everyones seedlings are coming along nicely. Our cos lettuce is pretty close to harvesting.
