25.01.2022 HAPPY TUESDAY! Fun fact: sunflowers are named as such because they face the sun. They love to chase the light. When it is cloudy though, they face each other in order to gain light from each other. Not like us humans. When things go wrong , we face the ground. We should learn from sunflowers and face each other to gain light in dark days Plants are so smart. Be like plants.



20.01.2022 REDUCING EMF EXPOSURE. Some great tips here. I always put my phone on airplane overnight. I also have a wall timer that switches my modem off between 11pm and 6am. Men- Keep phones out of your pocket as much as possible too! I have salt lamps and plants to help soak up some radiation emitted from electronics too. Electronic and smart everything may be convenient but all that exposure can’t be great for us! I try to limit mine as much as I can, especially in my bedroom.

18.01.2022 Hello insta peeps! Ok for this week’s #wellthycrushwednesdays we have a THING! The Oura Ring! WHAT? The oura ring is a very cool wearable health tracker that doubles as a cool looking piece of jewellery. ... WHY? the Oura stands out from other trackers in that it gives meaningful health data throughout the day, so you can tweak your inputs in response to your measures. For example it provides detailed information on your sleep states, heart rate, heart rate variability(stress level) body temperature, breathing rates, activity levels and more. Worn by the likes of @dave.asprey and previous WCW @robinberzinmd as well as Prince Harry! I first heard about it in @dave.asprey book Game Changers (which is also awesome and a WCW in its own right btw). From an EMF point of view, I also like that Bluetooth is only active on the ring for short periods of time, below 1% of the day and are turned off when you’re sleeping. You can also switch if off completely using the ring’s airplane mode. To sync the ring data with the app though, you’ll need to turn Bluetooth on. Do you have an Oura ring ? 14.01.2022 Craving something sweet and delicious?These are one of my favourite snacks to make - peanut butter brownie bliss balls from @bakeplaysmile. Delicious and super easy. INGREDIENTS 12 dates (dried or medjool) 1 Tbs cacao powder (I use raw)... 2 Tbs peanut butter (I use @mayversfood Crunchy peanut butter coz it’s the bomb) 3/4 cup raw almonds (I often use cashews instead) 1-2 tbs rice malt syrup or honey (if using medjool dates you may want to omit or only use small amount. I use about 1 or 1.5 tbs with dried dates and that’s sweet enough for me. Haven’t tried with medjool dates but will one day). METHOD 1. Place dates, cacao powder and peanut butter in food processor/blender and blend until resembles a paste 2. Add the nuts and rice malt syrup and blend until chunky If mixture is too dry, add more rice malt syrup and pulse to mix through. 3. Use a spoon to roll mixture into a ball (I do by hand as I think the heat helps it stick together better and roll easier). Makes about 10-12 delicious little balls of heaven. Keep in airtight container in fridge and eat within a week (ha. As if they last that long in my house). If you have a thermomix, instructions are on Bake Play Smile website but pretty similar to above. Warning: these babies are highly addictive. But also healthy and guilt free. Winning! ENJOY ! 06.01.2022 Some great tips on how to overcome common challenges so you can make better dietary choices. The struggle is real, for everyone, myself included! I definitely keep sweets out of my house as much as possible (because I will eat it ALL). Meal planning also works well and adding a salad or serve of veg to meals. Another tip I’d add: don’t food shop when you’re hungry! You’ll grab all the unhealthy stuff that appeals to your taste buds only! Don’t try to be perfect, just pick a few things to try to improve your choices and go from there.
