21.01.2022 The Recycled Denim Crop Tees by Standard Issue are back in stock (but likely not for long). > https://wellmadeclothes.co.nz/designers/standard-issue Just to re-cap, they're made from 100% recycled denim cotton which is created from discarded jeans, then knitted on zero waste knitting machines locally in New Zealand, which is a production process we can get behind, and get our behinds into.... Of the recycled denim yarn, Standard Issue's Assistant Brand and Design Manager, Ashlea Brookes, says: "Produced by discarded denim jeans, the old fibres have been repurposed to create a distinctive 100% recycled yarn, closing the loop on garments that may have otherwise ended up in landfill. No new dyes or chemicals are used in regenerating the jeans to yarn, ensuring water usage is kept to a bare minimum. The small imperfections created in this process bring life and texture to the distinctive new season knits." Our co-founder, Courtney, wears the Recycled Denim Crop Tee in Denim.

19.01.2022 The Regenerative Ringer Tee by Patagonia is back, so here's a re-cap of how this tee aims to regenerate soil! The Regenerative Ringer Tee is made from Regenerative Organic Certification Pilot Cotton. What is that exactly? Good question! Let us explain. Patagonia explains that growing food and fiber with industrial techniques and harmful chemicals is one of the main causes of climate change, contributing up to one-quarter of annual emissions. If we switch from fossil fuelin...tensive farming to organic, no- and low-till practices that build healthy soil and draw carbon back into the ground, we could turn our agricultural system from problem to solution. With Regenerative Organic Certification Pilot Cotton, Patagonia aims to do just this. This farming method aims to rehabilitate soil, respect animal welfare and improve the lives of farmers.
