20.01.2022 It says a lot about a community when a semi-retired gentleman contacts you & tells you he & a few friends have about 20kg of organic Seville oranges that have been donated, & wondered if Nina's Ninjas would be able to use them to make marmalade... It seemed like a really daunting task making marmalade but I put it to the Ninjas & Liz was quick to tell us that with her guidance (she used to be a pro marmalade & jam maker) we could make some Orange & Whiskey Marmalade. And so, ...whilst Nina & I were in Sydney & COVID isolating post the trip, the Ninjas got together to co-create the amazing marmalade we've been selling. Thank you Vasse Primary School for donating your kitchen space for a sticky, crazy Sunday to make marmalade. Quietly though, in the background, 3 small business owners - not in a financial position themselves to donate post COVID - started doing something that makes my arms goosebumpy. It goes like this... The semi-retired gentleman - Tony, & his friend Julie, drove the 80 minute round trip to Donnybrook...& a further few hours to pick the 20kg of oranges from Boronia Farm Stay. "Take all that you need" said Barry (the owner of the farm). Back home Julie set about making Organic Seville Orange Marmalade, Tony set about creating & printing the labels...& a production line was started. Fast forward a week & I get a phone call from Julie telling me that she & Tony had made another trip to Donnybrook, spent a few more hours picking oranges & had started the process again. A call went out for jars with an explanation why & they started turning up on Julie's doorstep. As the days rolled by, Julie continued making marmalade, juggling her business with hours in the kitchen. Tony dropped by & headed home with a few kg of oranges & a very clear set of instructions how to make this golden fundraiser. A few days on & Nola showed up. "Can I help?" she asked. Now Nola has seen half a century go by...in addition to quite a few decades...& yet she sat, alongside Tony, labelling the jars that Julie had filled. 120+ jars later & an amazing thing had happened. Strangers to Nina (except Julie) had pulled together in service, to raise funds for Nina. They had no funds themselves to offer, but with love (& LOTS of hours) they've created Marmalade that has truly come from the heart. Thank you Julie Dunn from Divine Bliss Candles, Tony Mumford from Coastal Print Service & Barry Green from Boronia Farm - & also, Nola & Dara. Look out for these marmalades at Journey to Health's fundraisers & also at Divine Bliss Candles

13.01.2022 Episode 2 is available for 24hrs...it's free! Yesterday's approach was refreshing. It ticked my boxes! As you know, I'm a huge advocate of getting the best from the allopathic AND holistic complementary approach...this isn't as divisive as some other cancer presentations which is what I appreciate about this production.

13.01.2022 MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY The pendulum of reality is beginning to swing back toward the way things were before COVID. And that scares me a bit!... Before COVID I had allowed myself to become so busy I didn't notice that I needed a break...which is why I loved having to stay at home for a few weeks and STOP! I'm enjoying my break from getting overwhelmingly busy. Is there something you need to hit the pause button on?

12.01.2022 Episode 1 is airing now...I think it's available for 24 hrs. It's free, and it's worth listening to!

04.01.2022 MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY Why a Pelican you may be wondering? With this quote! ... It's kinda personal. You see when I was a little girl, living in South Africa, I recall a memory of my family - my Mum, Dad & little brother enjoying a family outing (my baby sister wasn't around then). Family outings didn't happen often back then. But we were, on this occasion, picnicking when a Pelican waddled over...& it allowed me to hand feed it. It was so gentle. I would have been about 3-4 years old. I loved that this goofy looking bird allowed me to be so near to it (ok so it was the food it wanted!). I felt special. I recall the laughter he generated amongst my family, simply with his ungainly gait, his persistence & patience. Now, every time I see a Pelican, it infects me with a smile! Such a simple moment in my life's story which still brings me joy when I see them circling way overhead or swimming on the ocean. And I feel peace. What simple little thing has impacted you in some way?

03.01.2022 This is going to be a fabulous event...

03.01.2022 A video update for you all... Thank you for the love & support we’ve been receiving. Your messages have been very welcomed.

01.01.2022 The last episode of this incredible series... I’ve seen many docuseries over the years - some very prominent ones too. This series has surpassed them all. It hasn’t been devisive; it’s been balanced & offered incredible information from thought leaders & practitioners in the field of oncology from allopathic medicine to nutrition to immunology, cannabis, spirituality and more.
