25.01.2022 A productive day today. 16Ha pastures and fodder sprayed with seaweed, cows moved and even managed a bike ride in the sun.

19.01.2022 Well we have had 98mm of rain in the last 10days and the pastures are going crazy. Fodder crops are flowering, the insects are loving it and the cows are fat. Trying to get onto weeds when it’s always raining or windy is involving a lot of chipping thistles and capeweed

18.01.2022 Just a little before and after. Down the 8/3/20 This has had two very intensive strip grazing over the last 3 months and the feed that keeps coming back is amazing. That’s a fully grown 650kg cow in there

17.01.2022 Like most things, I don’t always do things the normal way!! Made my potatoes mounds with the excavator, and using dripper line for watering. This area had a diverse cover crop growing on in from March and was mulched in.

15.01.2022 The electric fences weren’t working the best. Time to mulch some of the 1.5m high pastures down. There’s a fence in there somewhere!!!!

14.01.2022 We will be doing a limited amount of small square bales this season. $6.60 in the paddock delivery can be arranged at extra minimum 20 bales. Should be ready this coming weekend.

12.01.2022 As the diverse fodder crops go to flower the insects are loving it. It’s still so wet in places I can’t get the tractor on to resow. Building in a fail safe in the mix is good insurance. There is cocksfoot, red clover and perennial rye included with 13 annuals so this area will keep coverage through the summer.
