04.01.2022 Wesley Old Col Leads Australia to Bronze at World Rowing Championships; Old Col Emma Fessey, (Wesley 2015-2018) last night sat in the stroke seat of the Austral...ian Womens Eight at the World Rowing Championships, serving up a courageous tempo that saw the crew with a canvas lead at the 500m mark. The USA wrestled back control of the race by the midway point and surged on to take gold, while Australia tried to fend off Canada and fast closing crews from the Netherlands and Romania, eventually crossing the line holding onto the Bronze medal position. At just 21 years of age, and on her first national team, this is a fabulous achievement from a young woman who demonstrated great leadership whilst at Wesley. Congratulations Emma! See more
