23.01.2022 Following an announcement from Treasurer Josh Frydenberg the Small Business $150K Instant Asset Write-Off has been extended. Businesses now have until December 31 2020 to acquire the asset and have it installed ready for use. As we are constantly receiving information regarding this write-off, it is not to be confused with claiming a tax deduction for the current 2019-20 financial year. Businesses must have acquired and have the asset installed ready for use by 30 June 2020,... otherwise the deduction will fall into the following financial year. TAX TIP - Under the SBE pooling provisions, if your asset pool balance is under $150K it must be fully written off in its entirety. This is compulsory and can have a huge impact on your final tax position. Tax planning is essential to ensure you are aware of the whole picture in regards to your tax liabilities. Now is the time to start your tax planning if you haven't already!! Call the office today on 55851522 for further information.
