20.01.2022 Yes... we are still runnning classes having moved to an exciting live online format. All classes are capped as always for quality control and we only have limited space available. We are looking for prospects within a reasonable drive to Harrisdale, as when face to face classes resume we want students to be able to continue to train with us and progress in their journey. Classes Include Two Live Online Classes Each Week (Tuesdays and Thursdays With Age Specific Classes Starting From 4.30pm to 7.40pm) Classes Available for 5 years to Adults. Fighting Fit Class (Saturdays 9.00am) For The Whole Family. Regular Short Courses Working On Specific Techniques (Mondays 7.30pm) Adults Only. Weekly Training Program with challenges, tracking results and fun projects. No joining fee & students that join will receive a free uniform when face to face classes resume if they are active members. Also we revert you back to our standard Membership which covers two classes a week. Access to our members only Facebook group. 15.01.2022 Hi Guys... Just as we had a 4 Phase Plan before all of this happened we have always had a plan for reopening as well. We obviously have to wait for advice from the state and federal government on the stages for the lifting of restrictions to finalise and enact this plan. Looks we are entering Phase Two of the restrictions being relaxed from Monday 18th May 2020. Also as we use a council owned facility we will have to see what decisions they make in regards to the hire of thei...r community facilities. We also want to ensure we have a transition faze as well so we can allow for those that may choose to self isolate a little longer still. We value everyone in our schools community, so want to ensure we can provide for everyone in it. This week we will consult with our affiliations, shire and staff to see exactly how we plan to get into the classroom again. Looks like it will not be long now and we will get to see you guys face to face. We have missed you guys. Initially there are still restrictions so things will be different still even when we return for a while. We will advise you guys in more detail of our plan and process moving forward on the coming week.

14.01.2022 Awards Night 21st November 2020 Last night our instructors and Senior Students from West Coast attended the Freestyle Martial Arts Association Awards Night. Rachael Parkes was recognised for 10 years service and won the prestigious Kazoku Award, she also won the door prize raffle for a nights accomodation at Rottnest Island. Paul Groom was nominated and won Student of The Year. ... It was a good night for West Coast. Many thanks to the other Martial Arts School owners, our students, our staff and Instructors that contribute to our academy’s success and the FMA for the recognition of our hard work. 12.01.2022 Well done to all students who were awarded a belt over the last week of gradings. Special mention to Lucas, Johan and Ethan who were awarded the schools first junior red belts following a gruelling 2 1/2 hr grading along with Sophie who received her purple belt and the advanced adult students.

11.01.2022 Hi... As of Friday 4th of December 2020 Individuals along with nominated businesses have to keep a register via SafeWA App or a manual log of customers who enter their business premises. We have posted a link with the details below along with a pdf containing the relevant information you will need to know. For those that are unable to use their mobile device to scan the QR Code, you can alternatively manually log your details in via the tablet at our front desk or the manual... sign in sheet. This responsibility falls on all of us to ensure that you register each time you visit and enter one of our venues that we check in. As far as students go all students are checked in on an electronic role that is a part of our membership management system. However, this will not suffice for adults, so we will need all adult students to ensure they also scan in via a QR code or manually add their details every time you come to class. Fortunately the process seems to be pretty simple, so if we can all work together to do what is required as there are substantial fines for individuals or businesses who do not comply. Whilst we appreciate this is not convenient it is unfortunately another restriction that has been placed on our industry. 08.01.2022 Authenticity Everyone has come under assault, of some kind. Weve all had people talk trash behind our backs and try to turn others against us (a classic Nar...cissist Ploy) - weve all had people who dislike the way we live - who dislike the way we look - who dislike the colour of our skin - who dislike our politics, etc. Well why care so much about trying to please everyone? Who put that idea into our heads anyway? Its a very flawed idea. In fact, Ill go so far as to say this - if you dont have people who dislike you ... youre just not doing it right! So, set all that aside my friends; in the grand scheme of our lives, it amounts to almost nothing. One of the most important skills I have learned in my time is to not change who I am to please other people or to make them like or admire me more, etc. I decided some time ago, to just be me and am now absolutely fine with the fact that I cannot please everyone. Just as there are options in choosing the foods we eat; there are also options regarding the kind of people we interact with. In fact, our decisions regarding who we form strong and lasting relationships with, may well be the most meaningful decisions of our lives. Be authentic. Every day we choose to live inauthentically, is a day wasted. In being authentic, youll repel some people but youll attract more similarly-authentic people. Anything else is a compromise on healthy living. What have you got to lose?

07.01.2022 The is a lot of uncertainty at the moment in the world. However for those that are bold, ready and willing to step up there is also opportunity. Do not look at what you cannot do focus on what you can do and think big.

06.01.2022 Amongst all the chaos we celebrated our 5 Year Anniversary on 17th March 2020. We have 4 our our founding students that were in our first classes on the first day we opened still with us here at West Coast. We consider these guys family. We also have another 7 students that will be celebrating 5 years with us this year as well. Thats pretty good numbers for a school that sits around 80 students. We look forward to sharing the next 5 years guys.
