25.01.2022 ******On-road Update ******* I’m afraid yet again the weather gods are not in our favour. Current forecast is for substantial showers on Sunday, so we’ll be canceling the Sunday meeting. The Saturday forecast is looked good, so we’ll be opening the track for practice. We had a great response to last weekends practice/bbq so we’ll be doing the same. Gates open 10am until about 3pm, $10 for a practice and a sausage sizzle

25.01.2022 Due to the weather Off-Road practice is cancelled for tonight. We will need some help wither Thursday night or Friday morning to clear up the track. Keep an eye out on the Facebook page for confirmation. On-road practice will still be on.

25.01.2022 The off-road track remains CLOSED for tomorrow. Anyone driving on it will automatically have their states entry removed..

24.01.2022 A HUGE thank you to Kyle Francis from Mayhem Hobbies for hosting the car tuning and driving tutorial today! . It was a fantastic event where Kyle took new and experienced people through all things from what to bring to the track, how to maintain and set-up your car, plus a track walk to go through driving techniques..... . It was a great day and all members/non-members got something out of it. . This is what our hobby is about.. Helping people and sharing information. . Again, thank you Kyle. . 21.01.2022 ****On road Update ****** Unfortunately the weather gods are not in favour of us racing Sunday, the forecast is looking diabolical, so we’re calling the round off early. For those looking for a fix Saturday is looking good at this stage so we’re going to open the track for practice from 10am until 3ish. We’re going to pull the bbq out and put on a sausage sizzle for lunch, practice and lunch will be $10. For those looking for a racing fix don’t forget PRECC is running their winter on road points on Friday night, see their FB page for more details.

19.01.2022 With the Spring Cup this weekend and some poor weather throughout the week, we will be opening up the on-road track for practice tomorrow night (Tuesday) in case we get rained out Wednesday. Gates will be open from 5pm. Usual practice fee applies.

17.01.2022 WCMRC is part of Containers for Change! We all love to thirst our quench after a hard day’s racing or a busy bee but please don’t throw your cans/water bottles in the general rubbish bin! We have been lucky to secure dedicated Containers for Change bins to recycle all our cans/bottles. The club has signed up for the scheme, meaning we will receive a 10c refund on each container that will go into the club ... Please use these bins around the facility as we !

14.01.2022 Hi all, Off-road is cancelled for tonight. Normally we’d still open the On-road track for practice, but unfortunately we don’t have any committee members available to open the track tonight. Just a reminder the on-road track will be open tomorrow for practice between 10am and about 3pm and we will be rolling out the BBQ about lunch time. Also don’t forget PRECC winter series on-road racing is on so head on over if you’re chasing a Friday night RC fix.

13.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION - SAFEWA APP To all our members and visitors to West Coast - please read the below important information, especially those who are attending the Offroad States this weekend. The WA Government has announced that from 5 December 2020 particular businesses and community facilities, including WCMRC, will be required to register via the SafeWA app for contact tracing purposes.... From this Saturday (NOTE: this includes any racers or attendees to the Offroad States this weekend) you will be required to 'check in' when you attend the club. This can be done in two ways: 1 Register a profile in the SafeWA app and then scan the QR code which will be displayed around the facility; or 2 Fill in the paper-based Registration Booklet which each Sub-Committee will have and make available when their area is open. The information you will be asked to provide, either in your registration for the app or in the paper registration booklet, is: Name, Date, Contact Number and time of arrival. Once you register for the app once, you will have a 'profile' which can not only be used at West Coast, but other businesses that require scanning in. We have registered the facility as 'one venue', so irrespective of which part of the facility you are using, you only need to register once. We are conscious that we have many families and young children visiting the facility. The guidelines advise that all individuals 16 years and older will need to register their contact details. Any children under 16 years are not required to register, although adults accompanying them are encouraged to register their children's details along with their own. We ask for your cooperation and patience as we begin using this new system, which the State Government has introduced to reduce the risk of an uncontrolled COVID-19 outbreak in WA. If you have any questions, please feel free to message the Club or a Committee Member and we will do our best confirm for you.

08.01.2022 Got an off-road car?? Kyle from Mayhem Hobbies is running his Tuning and Driving tutorial day with an open track for testing out what you learn! Bring whatever you have, and come learn about setup and get some laps in.... Kyle is kicking off at 11, and the track will be open for most of the day.

06.01.2022 *****COVID UPDATE***** With WA now in Phase 3 of the COVID-19 restrctions, we have updated a few things around the clubs operation. 1) Drivers stand spacing has been revised... 2) Distanced pitting to remain in place 3) Up to 100 people per area (Off-road/On-Road/Big-Rigs) 4) No more pre-registration required for racing or practice (No more lists!) 5) Points racing to resume 6) Hand sanitisers remain in place 7) Visitors welcome As previously, we ask that if you are sick to remain at home. We look forward to seeing everyone at the track for racing and socialising! Our calendars will be updated soon to reflect the required changes to event timing etc.

If you can help out on either day please let us know. Without the help, we will be unable to hold a canteen on Saturday. We also need 1-2 additional people to assist with scrutineering on both days.
