Unfortunately the strong winds weve been experiencing over the weekend are set to continue through the week according to the weather reports. Weve checked out some info from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services to provide a quick guide for you to stay safe in severe weather! ... Trim branches around your home to prevent them falling on your roof or car. Store or weigh down loose objects around your home or work, such as outdoor furniture that could be picked up and thrown by strong winds, causing damage or injury. Prepare an emergency kit with a battery operated radio, torch, spare batteries and first aid kit. Keep pets inside and warm with you. And the most important tip of all.... Stay inside, with a hot cup of and a warm bowl of with a good movie, some cosy pyjamas, and a blanket with your family all around you! ... Not long until Spring now!
