11.01.2022 Destroyers, Emily Calandrelli is a mechanical and aerospace engineer, Emmy-nominated TV host, correspondent on Bill Nye Saves the World, and host/EP of FOXs Xp...loration Outer Space. She spent many years pitching various science shows to the big US science tv networks, only to be told the majority of our audience is male, so we just dont know if theyd relate to a female host. Then along came Netflix, who picked up her female-led kids science show Emilys Wonder Lab which she shot while 9 months pregnant, btw. Calandrelli says, Im just... so incredibly proud that my daughter will be able to watch this someday. When I was studying to become an engineer, I was one of 2 or 3 women in classrooms of 50 men. Im hoping shows like this help change that demographic for her generation. If you have a Netflix account your kids can watch Emilys Wonder Lab here: https://www.netflix.com/watch/81128389 And you can like and follow her on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheSpaceGal Destroyers, wouldnt this be a great way to get young girls interested in STEM science, technology, engineering, and mathematics? If you already know Emilys Wonder Lab, what do you think of it?

These students will be wanting to complete work placement as well. Western Student Connections can now start placing Year 12 students with host employers from 1st June 2020. Year 11 have a start date of 20th July, Day 1, Term 3. We hope to be able to continue to support businesses in any way we can into the future.
