25.01.2022 Todays Patient:- Attila - German Sheperd - With a skin problem - possible allergy. He is keeping his owners from sleeping at night due to his scratching and biting at his skin. Treatment trials including a change of bedding and diet plus meds over next few weeks.



25.01.2022 Lilly, just after her final puppy vaccination today, during her home visit. Back on her favourite outdoor lounge within minutes of her injection, still active as ever, there is no stopping her. Next stop is her sterilisation surgery in about 2 months time.

20.01.2022 Moby, just visiting Vienna today, no injections for him, he was keeping clear of any medical activity. All three were having a great time running after each other today. No slowing down for Vienna after her vaccination.



20.01.2022 This is BoBo, one of Smokeys house mate. I was visiting Smokey today for another cat bite or scratch to his eye. I think this was an inside job. His Mum and Dad have been doing a wonderful job of fostering up to 8 cats, until they have found new homes. Unfortunately some disagreements are likely to happen under the circumstances.

19.01.2022 My second surgical patient today, was Cuggi involved in a serious dog fight earlier this year. In today to investigate fluid accumulating in his wound secondary to deep scar tissue. His has a surgical wound on his right chest and a drain. He should make a complete recovery over the next week or two. This picture was taken about 30 minutes after his surgery, up and ready to go home. Love his green nails!! Dr Patrick

19.01.2022 NEWS FLASH Gucci has been found. Thanks everyone for your efforts in looking for him and sharing posts on Facebook.. Happy days!! I will be checking on him tomorrow, as he is due his annual vaccinations. Dr Patrick

17.01.2022 Raja's - post surgical follow up. Test results are in now. His skin tumour on his back is all clear. The one on his leg was not able to be completely removed due to its size and invasion of local tissue. It will continue to grow, we are hopeful that it will not spread to his internal organs. He is doing well, eating and moving well. We wish him well as he recovers from surgery over the next few weeks. He is happy to be home with his Dad, supporting his football team.

17.01.2022 Pluto: Patient Update: He is back to his normal hunting down food and active as a puppy should be. Great News.



16.01.2022 Yogi in Swanbourne Vet Centre for Surgery today. Sterilisation, on baby tooth removal, skin treatment left side of his face & X ray examination of his hips and shoulders. He is home now resting tonight. Dr Patrick

16.01.2022 Patient of the Day: Manoli. Manoli - a 13yr old staffy celebrating her birthday next week. She has had a cough for several weeks now. Possible Canine Cough and is being treated with antibiotics. She may have to be examined by Ultrasound for any underlying causes like a Heart condition if she fails to make a complete recovery over the next 2 to 3 wks. She is still very active and spends most of her day fighting with her new brother Yogi the Chocolate Labrador.

13.01.2022 This is Yogi, Surgery time next week for Sterilisation and Xray exam of his shoulder and hips. Also has a retained temporary tooth for extraction - a big day for him.

13.01.2022 Just a reminder to give your dog and cat De-worming treatment at least every 3 months, especially if you have young children. These two very long Tapeworms removed from a dog in Perth last week.

12.01.2022 Home Visit of the Day: Maya and Tiger from Floreat, in Perth WA. May was involved in a major traffic accident about two years ago. She was found some distance away from home and several days after she went missing. After transporting her to Swanbourne Vet Hospital, treating her for pain and shock. I had no alternative but to amputate her right hind leg. She has made a fantastic recovery and is fully mobile, hard to tell she is missing anything at all. She and her mate Tiger, a huge cat, that happens to be very camera shy had their vaccinations today. These pictures are of Maya. Tigers to follow.

10.01.2022 This is Stewie, recovering and spoilt by his Mum after Dewclaw (Amputation after injury) and Eyelid surgery (skin tumour removal) this week. Checked on him today, as the front door was opened he was off to explore the neighbourhood at full speed, until he was called by home.

10.01.2022 Report on Gucci, The Stolen / Lost Dog. He had his annual check up and vaccinations today. He passed with flying colours, back to normal and very happy to be home again. One happy family. 05.01.2022 This is Raja, just minutes after his surgery today at the Swanbourne Vet Centre. A one hour surgery to remove two tumours - one on his back the other deep in the muscles of his front left leg. Waiting now for Biospy results in about 7 days. We are hoping for good news. Raja is a 12 yr old Staffy, just getting over food poisoning from last week, when someone threw over his fence some KFC causing him gastro-enteritis and possibly Pancreatitis. I will be checking on him tomorrow on my rounds. He is a great dog and companion to his Dad Darren. He loved the car trip with me today to and from the Hospital, he likes to take in the sights from the front passenger seat.

03.01.2022 Todays Patient: Elmo, having his 13th birthday tomorrow. He is a Diabetic - on twice daily injections of Insulin given by his loving Dad. He is doing very well happy and loving his daily walks along the river.

01.01.2022 Todays Patient: Pluto, a young labrador puppy, not well after his walk to the lake. He may have been sampling duck poo while no one was watching. Has a case of Gastro-enteritis. (Vomiting & explosive diarrhoea) He should make a quick recovery, if he takes his medications. Consultation and treated at his home.
